May 16th

Even though mother wasn't feeling the best today, due to her morning sickness, she was still cheery as ever, as she ran all over the place, helping Noah get ready for his senior prom.

She jumped in the car with Noah, as she helped him choice a pair of dress shoes and a bow tie that matched the color of Maria's dress; crimson dress.

It's official! Noah took my advice, and started to talk to Maria again. Little did he know, his relationship with her grew closer and closer. Unfortunately, not close enough, for they're not a couple yet. However, I stayed up until 2:00 in the morning, helping Noah decide of a cute 'promposal' for her. At the end, we both agreed that she was the smarter one in their relationship, and the 'promposal' should be a flower vase full of a Smarties, with dum dum suckers as flower.

As the day went on, Noah emerged into the living room, wearing all back, expect for the crimson red bow tie and vest. His hair was spiked up with gel in a neat way, as his scent consisted of aftershave and cologne.

Mother, father, Noah and I hopped inside the car, as we drove over to Rachel's house, where Maria and her family decided to meet, since the Nickels's household had a beautiful backyard for pictures. Plus Rachel and Maria's parents are also very close.

When we arrived, Mrs. Nickels invited us inside, and lead us into the backyard, where Mr. Nickels was currently taking photos of Rachel and Maria.

Rachel's outfit consisted of a baggy gray t-shirt, that was tucked inside her light blue, jean shorts, as she showed off her mint green, polished toenails through her white flip flops. Her hair was neatly braided in one go. As for Maria, her dark colored hair was curled, with shiny sequences throughout the styled do. Her Cinderella, crimson red dress was strapless, with ruffles and silver designs throughout the material. Her make up was dark, as it matched the fabric of her dress and the color of her nails.

I wheeled my head to face Noah, only to snicker at his reaction, as his prom date stood before him; Eyes wide, jaw dropped, frozen in place.

I nudged my elbow into his side, as I leaned next to him, covering my mouth, so only he could hear me. "You lucky dog, go get her!" I chuckled.

Noah's quickly bowed his head, as his cheeks changed to a shade darker. "Shut up!" He grumbled, as he shook his head, but let out a small chuckle in return.

After being in several photos with the everyone, my parents drove Noah and Maria to the banquet hall that prom was being held at, while Rachel and I walked around town, hand-in-hand.

"Didn't Maria look beautiful?" Rachel screeched with excitement, as her eyes stayed forward.

I watched Rachel for the corner of my left eye, as I hesitated for a second. "Yes, but I bet you'll be even beautiful-er in your dress!" I answered with a smile planted upon my face.

Rachel blushed, as she placed her emerald eyes upon her feet, as we strolled the neighborhood. "Oh hush! Beautiful-er isn't even a word!" She giggled.

I couldn't help but chuckle in response, as I shook my head lightly.

"Anyways, your mom told me she was pregnant! I'm so excited for you guys!" Rachel cheered, as her grip around my hand tightened.

Again, I chuckled, as I averted my eyes to meet hers. "Thanks!" I nodded. "I'm excited too!" I admitted.

Rachel rotated her head, as our eyes made contact. She flashed a bright smile. "I don't know rather to be jealous or not. Your mom's extremely lucky!" She explained.

I raised an eyebrow, as I flashed her a confused expression. "What do you mean?" I asked.

Rachel's eye grew wide for a slip second, before they fell back to normal. She, then, fell into a fit of laughter, as she shook her head. "Nothing. I'm just saying she's lucky! I mean, most women can't conceive." Rachel pointed out.

I nodded to her statement, as my face relaxed. "I know. It's upsetting that some women have problems with pregnancy. Seeing a women suffer like that is painful to see." I agreed.

Rachel nodded, as everything fell silent for a moment. Again, I watched her for the corner of my eye, as I watched her expression flicker from happy, to disappointment.

"Are you alright?" I asked calmly.

Rachel looked up at me, as she flashed a smile, before nodding in response. "Of course! It's just... I know someone who can't have kids." She explains. "But they're alright, that's the good thing."

I hummed lightly, as I nodded. "I'm glad she's alright. People like her are extremely tough." I announced.

Rachel nodded. "I agree. Anyways, let's get going?" She spoke, as a devious smile appeared across her face.

I tilted my head lightly. "Where to?" I asked.

Rachel pulled her hand out of mine, before she darted down the sidewalk.

"CATCH ME IF YOU CAN!" She shouted, as she ran as fast as she could.

I chuckled, as I shook my head at the child in front of me. "You got to be kidding me." I said, playfully, before running after her, with a wide smile planted across my face. "YOU CAN'T RUN FOREVER!" I shouted, as the both of us ran throughout the city.
