The past few days of studying, eating, sleeping and hanging out with my family and even Rachel turned out to be one big blur. It was already Saturday, which means tonight is the Homecoming dance. I have to say, for my first Homecoming, I am actually quite thrilled that I get to spend it with the person I love the most. Mom gave Noah and I the car for the night, so who knows what we'll do after the event is over with. Noah is pretty much an expert on dates like this, so he'll have to lead me forward into getting me out of my shell.

I looked at my reflection in the mirror in silence, as I lightly smiled to myself. I was wearing a clean and pressed black tuxedo, with a checkered-like tie that was white, along with two different shades of pink. My shoes were polished amazingly, to the point where I could almost see myself in them. As for my hair, I attempted to keep it flat on the sides, but spiked up at the time.

As I was finishing up the final touches with my cologne, a gentle knock on my bedroom appeared into my ear drums, as it slowly started to open up. Mom stood there with a smile planted on her face, as soon as I was in her peripheral vision.

"Wow! You look fantastic! Rachel will definitely find you attractive at this point." My mom burst out, excitedly.

"What makes you think I'm not attractive in the first place?" I stood there dumbfounded for a moment, before chuckling.

"What I mean is, she'll love the tuxedo look on you even more than the casual clothing." She told me with a smile. "Are you about ready? It's just about time to go pick up Rachel and Noah's date." Mom added.

I nodded, as I grabbed the clear box that held a beautiful white rose, with pink ribbons and sequins wrapped around it's stem. Looking down at Rachel's corsage, I took a deep breath. This is it, Sam, no turning back now. Looking up, I noticed my mom still standing there.

"Don't worry, you'll have a great time." Mom reassured, as she smiled sweetly.

I nodded again, as I walked out of my room, shutting the door behind, and heading downstairs, where dad and Noah were at.

As soon as I made my way towards the living room, Dad and Noah stood there in silence with smiles planted on their faces. Noah stood there in a white tuxedo, with polished white shoes. In addition, he wore a crimson red tie, with thin black stripes going in an upwards diagonal.

"Looking nifty, Sam." Noah says with a smile.

I nodded lightly. "Looking sharp yourself." I responded to his compliment.

After our parents took, of what it felt like, ten million pictures, Noah bolted towards the car, as I followed behind.

"I'm so excited! I can barely wait!" Noah shouted with joy, as he hopped in the drivers seat.

As I jumped inside, Noah started the car and took off down the street. In all honesty, I am quite nervous. My stomach turned, as I felt like I was about to hurl up my lunch from earlier. Though, I keep my emotions hidden, as I stared blankly out the window. I need to stay calm, afterall, this is a night to have fun and get loose. Plus, I need to show Rachel a good time, or else she'll never forgive me if I ruin her night.

The car slowly came to a stop, as Noah put it in park with ease. Looking over, Rachel's house was in view, as my heart pounded nervously in my chest.

"Come on! Our ladies are waiting for our arrival," Noah said, with a smile, as he got out of the car.

I took a deep breath, as I unbuckled my seatbelt, and got out of the car quickly. The wind blew gently, as I began to relax. As Noah and I walked towards the front door, it opened before we stepped foot on the porch. Standing in the doorway, was Rachels mother, Paula. She smiled excitedly at me, as she walked over to me with open arms, signalling that she wanted a hug.
