The next day, Pete decided to test out what he'd learned. When Patrick was sitting with Pete's Mom at the kitchen table, doing his homework, he walked over and sat down.

"Hey idiot."

Patrick's hand sped into Pete's Mom's at what Pete perceived to be a million miles an hour. Not only that, but Pete noticed that he started shaking too.

"Pete, apologise." Pete's Mom murmured, not paying attention to the scene. She was too busy working on her laptop, doing something boring.

"Sorry." Pete shrugged, lying through his teeth. He had found Patrick's weakness, and intended to use it.

His first chance to use it came at night time, when he and Patrick were standing in the bathroom, brushing their teeth before bedtime. Pete decided that he wanted more mirror space to stand in.

"Move over." He demanded.

Patrick, who already had one shoulder squished against the wall, shook his head. "I can't."

"Yes you can." Pete remarked. "Move over... idiot."

Patrick's eyes widened in terror and he squished himself further against the wall.

Pete smiled. "Thank you idiot."

After teeth brushing was complete, Patrick ran to Pete's Mom and started crying.

Pete rolled his eyes. What. A. Baby.

"What's wrong Pattycakes?" Pete's Mom bent down to his height.

Patrick sniffled. "I-I-..."

"Okay, okay. Come on, let's go get you some hot cocoa, how does that sound?"

"Can I have some?" Pete interrupted.

"Just go to bed Pete, I'll be in in a minute."

Pete frowned.

Pete's Mom lifted Patrick up, carrying him down to the kitchen.

Pete went and laid in his bed, thinking about what just happened. Sure, Idiot wasn't a nice word, and Hillary got in trouble when she used the word, but it didn't make Pete's Mom want to carry Pete downstairs and give him hot cocoa.

In the end, Pete decided that the rest of the answers would be in the folder, and he'd finish that later tonight.
