Pete saw Andy when he arrived at school.
After putting his schoolbag in the spot marked 'Peter', he walked over to the spot marked 'Andrew' to see his friend.
"Mom and Dad got a new kid."
"What do you mean?" Andy asked.
"He's fat. And he cries a lot."
"What's his name?"
"Patrick" Pete sneered, attempting to make it sound as disgusting as possible.
"How old is he?"
"Seven."
"Can he be our friend?"
Pete shook his head wildly. "He's such a freak!"
"But we really need more friends, Pete...."
Pete pointed to Joe. "Go be friends with him then."
Joe was weird.
Andy shook his head. "Not Joe. You know we can't be friends with Joe."
"Well, Patrick is weirder than Joe."
"Really?"
Pete nodded "Uh huh."
Andy wrinkled his nose up. "Why isn't he at school then?"
Pete shrugged. "I think he's too weird."
