Ever since Dan was four years old, his mother would gain new tattoos most months. They would appear somewhere on her body, some she could hide, some she couldn't. Especially newer ones, as she was running out of room on her body, so they began to appear on her head. The latest one being a butterfly on the right side of her neck. Every person has an individual tattoo that is unique to them. No one in the world has the same. Dan's was a bear cub, positioned across his heart, this is where everyones tattoo would appear; this was so you never forgot who you are.

Dan's father had died when he was three, so he didn't really remember anything about him, except his abnormally brown, hazel eyes. His fathers tattoo was a lion, which was on his mothers right wrist. This symbolised true love, a type of soulmate in a way, but when that soulmate dies, the tattoo fades, representing a lost love. Dan's mother had dozens of faded tattoos littering her body and it disgusted Dan how easily she could fall in love after meeting his Dad.

Many people would only have one or two tattoos, but others could be covered and Dan had always wondered what would happen once there was no more room. Would they overlap? Would they be replaced? No one knew, because no one, not even Dan's mother could fall in love that many times. Could they?

"Hi guys!" Phil said through his camera to his two million subscribers. Dan sat in front of his laptop, smiling at the boy, who helped him through his hardest days. "So today I thought I would do a Q and A."

A smile etched onto Dan's lips, praying his question would finally be answered. He waited patiently while Phil read out random questions and gave detailed and deep answers, until he saw his name pop up on the screen as Phil read his name and he screamed. Phil Lester was actually reading Dan Howells tweet to him.

"This one is from Danisnotonfire," Phil laughed silently, "Nice name by the way! Do you have any tattoos, if so where?" Phil's eyes saddened and Dan noticed, "I eh, I don't have any except my own, which is a lion." Phil pulled down his shirt revealing a roaring lion across his heart.

A few months later, Dan found himself practically skipping to the youtube convention being held near his house - for once - and his mother had finally let him go. Phil was going to be there and Dan had never been so excited in his life to meet someone. He felt as if he already knew Phil, but Phil on the other hand had no idea that Dan even existed.

He hurried to Phil's section and spotted the black haired boy stood by a blank wall, while taking pictures with his many subscribers. Dan took a huge breath before wandering over to the ever growing queue to finally meet his biggest inspiration.

"Next!"

Dan walked over to Phil and his words practically fell from his lips, "OhmygodPhilLesterIhavebeeen-"

"Woah!" Phil chuckled. "Slow down there. Do you want to repeat that slower?"

Dan felt a blush rise to his cheeks and he bowed his head so that his fringe covered the tinge slightly, "You are honestly my biggest inspiration, Phil. Thank you so much, I wouldn't have been able to get through my mother moving on from different people every month and the drinking without you. Thank you so much."

Everything clicked into place for Phil and he gulped, "You're the boy I was emailing?"

Dan frowned, "Wait, you remember me? That was like three months ago."

"I never forgot," Phil's eyes blurred with tears and he smiled sweetly at the boy stood in front of him. "Look," he leant closer to Dan, his voice dropping to a mere whisper, "Meet me at the Starbucks across the street in an hour. We can catch up?"

Dan nodded eagerly, "Can I get a picture before I leave?"

Phil smiled, "Sure, but I'm sure we'll take more later."

An hour passed and Dan excitedly made his way into the coffee shop, ordering his usual before spinning on his heels to be met with an equally excited Phil.

"Hey," Phil breathed. "I wasn't sure if you'd come."

"I wouldn't miss it," Dan smiled brightly. "Why did you want to meet me?"

"Let's sit," Phil chuckled nervously, showing Dan to the seat across from them. "I wanted to ask you something."

Dan's heart was practically leaping from his chest, "Ask away."

Phil's eyes darted around the room, a lump forming in his throat as he choked out, "What's your tattoo?"

Dan frowned, "A bear cub, why?"

"Oh my god," Phil gulped, as his eyes widened. He was correct all those weeks ago, who else would it be? He lifted his sleeve, to reveal his tattooed wrist. "Hey, soulmate."

Dan gasped, as his eyes studied the bear cub tattoo in front of him, "It's on your wrist, Phil!"

Phil could only nod and his gleamy eyes met Dans, as their lips tugged into small smiles and Dan could suddenly feel the burning sensation on his wrist.

A lion tattoo.
