A/N: Okay, so just to remind everyone: 'speech written in one mark is a thought' and "speech written in two is spoken out loud."
---------------------------------------------------------------
Dan sat at the dining table of Phil's apartment, eating the sandwich he just made and watching random videos on YouTube on his phone. It had been five days since he had moved in with Phil and they had been the best five days of his life so far. He loved being able to spend so much one on one time with Phil and finding out everything about the gorgeous guy who spoke to him that day in the cafe. Phil had also been teaching him how to build a wall, which he thought would be quite useful considering his thoughts were quite private, even from Phil.
The front door closed and Dan heard Phil's humming before the sound of keys clanging onto the small key rack by the front door. Phil walked into the living room with his shoulders hunched over and swung his bag onto the sofa.
"You okay?" Dan asked. He'd never seen Phil so deflated.
"Tough day is all," Phil forced a smile. "How was your day?"
"It was alright. Miss Parker loved my creative writing piece that you helped me with!" Dan grinned and took a bite of his sandwich.
"That's great, Danny!" Phil smiled for real this time and kissed the top of Dan's head. "Sorry I'm so late. I had to catch up on some things."
Dan narrowed his eyes at Phil, suspecting he wasn't being completely honest, but shrugged it off knowing Phil liked his privacy. He continued watching his video on youtube whilst Phil had a shower, but the only thought on his mind was why did Phil look so broken?
An hour passed and Phil finally left the bathroom and walked into Dan's room where Dan was now laying in bed reading something for school.
"Hey, Danny," Phil said and sat beside him on the bed. "What you reading?"
"Of Mice and Men," Dan groaned and showed Phil the front of the book.
"Oh good book," Phil smiled and got underneath the covers. "Are you not enjoying it?"
Dan shook his head and joined Phil under the covers, "Nah. I prefer The Inspector Calls."
"Ah yeah I did that at school too," Phil smiled at the memory and let Dan rest his head on his chest. He kissed Dan's head lovingly again and stroked his hand through the boys hair. "Have your parents been in contact?"
"No. I think they're probably glad to be rid of me to be honest," Dan sighed and closed the book, placing it on the nightstand beside the bed.
"I am sorry, bear," Phil said and hugged Dan tighter.
"It's okay. It's not a huge loss for me," Dan replied. "I've actually gained more than I have lost."
"Have you?"
"Of course," Dan grinned. "I've got you now."
Phil chuckled lightly, "I'm glad I make you happy and safe."
"Are you sure you're alright, Phil?" Dan asked with concern in his tone.
"I don't want to bother you with my problems," Phil replied and took in a deep breath.
"You always listen to mine," Dan said, furrowing his brow slightly and sitting up from Phil's chest. He turned himself so that he was facing Phil and said, "Please tell me, Phil. Remember, as you say, a problem shared is a problem halved."
Phil chuckled and nudged Dan playfully, "Very true. I never told you about my boyfriend did I?"
Dan shook his head furiously and grinned, "You have a boyfriend!"
"Well not anymore," Phil sighed and his eyes welled with tears.
Dan frowned and scooted closer to Phil, taking his hands in his. "What happened?"
"I guess we were drifting apart and he said I was being distant and barely had anytime for him since..."
"Since me?" Dan asked, tilting his head.
Phil looked at their intertwined hands and smiled, "If he was worthy enough of me then he would have understood and waited."
Dan nodded slowly, "I'm so sorry though Phil. This is my fault."
"No!" Phil exclaimed and wrapped his arms around the fragile boy. "You are not at fault. It's no ones fault. I'm so glad you came into my life, Dan, so never ever think that I don't."
Dan snuggled his head into Phil's chest and smiled, "Thank you for everything, Phil."
"Anything for you, bear," Phil smiled and laid them both back down on the bed again, cradling Dan in his arms.
'Hey, Phil. You're my favourite person.'
Phil bit his lip and thought back, 'And you are mine, my small bear cub.'
4 years later...
"Phil!" Dan shouted across the apartment one Saturday morning.
"Yeah?" Phil yelled back.
"Have you seen my phone charger?"
"No!"
Dan huffed angrily, as he searched through his box of wires and cursed at himself for not keeping a better system. How can you lose a phone charger? It's the most used wire in his life, he thought.
"Have you checked the kitchen cupboard?" Phil called out to Dan from the lounge. He was sat in his usual spot on the sofa, typing away on his laptop.
"Why would I check there?" Dan groaned, but made his way to the kitchen anyway.
Phil got up from the sofa and followed Dan into the kitchen, smiling smugly when Dan pulled out the white wire from one of the kitchen cupboards.
"Alright, shut your face," Dan chuckled and turned to face Phil.
"I haven't said anything," Phil laughed.
"You're saying everything," Dan laughed and gestured to Phil's smug expression.
Phil held his hands in the air and said, "I can't help it that you have a habit of putting it in there when making yourself a drink."
Dan pinned Phil against the fridge and smirked, "Well I think you hide it in there."
"And why on earth would I do that, bear?" Phil asked, with a puppy look on his face.
"Because you are you and you like to mess with me. It's like a weird kink, Phil," Dan laughed, but his expression was pure lust.
"Well Danny, I'm afraid to tell you that you really do put it in there and I'm a bit worried about your brain," Phil laughed and knocked on Dan's head softly.
Dan pursed his lips and narrowed his eyes at Phil, "I don't believe you."
"Oh really and what would it take for you to believe me?"
Dan pressed his lower half against Phil's and smirked. 'You know what.'
Phil shook his head innocently and batted his eyelids. 'I really don't, bear. Please tell me.'
"Phil," Dan whined, dipping his head to Phil's neck. 'I want you.' He began to place light loving kisses on Phil's neck and suckled on Phil's earlobe.
'Are you begging?'
"Maybe," Dan said out loud and stood back up straight to face Phil, who was now extremely flustered.
"What happened to that sweet, innocent boy I met in the cafe four years ago?" Phil chuckled and wrapped his arms around Dan's torso.
"He grew up," Dan laughed and scooped Phil up into his arms.

A/N: I know that one was a bit short, but I loved the ending and didn't want to extend it and ruin the impact. I hope you enjoyed it and I will see you in my next one shot, which may or may not be a bonus one.
