Phil sat doodling peacefully in the library, sketching in the eyes of the boy he would sit day dreaming about most days - Dan Howell - the popular boy, who wouldn't even think twice about Phil. Phil knew it was stupid to have a petty crush over someone, who probably doesn't even know that he exists, but a boy can dream.
With a sigh, Dan strolled into the library, serving a detention he really wished he hadn't gotten, but he had to come. He took a quick glance over the classroom, noticing the cute boy sitting in the corner, his complete attention on a notebook in front of him. A small smile graced his lips as he sat down beside the boy, causing him to slam his note book shut.
"Hi, I'm Dan. Dan Howell," Dan introduced himself, cheerily. "You are?"
Phil's eyes widened at the question, Dan Howell was actually talking to him! Stuttering he finally replied, "I-I'm P-Phil. Phil Lester."
Dan smiled brightly, "Nice to meet you, Phil Lester. So what you drawing that is so secret?"
Phil noticed the way Dan's eyes creased at the edges and admired the dimple, which came with his gorgeous smile. He shook his head and looked away embarrassed, "Uhm, nothing."
"Nothing? Right, I believe you," Dan teased. "Come on, you can tell me. I'm good with secrets."
                              Phil smiled, "Oh really?"
"Yep," Dan lifted his chin. "The very best."
Internally awing at this cute boy, Phil let out a sigh and turned to face Dan, "Why are you here?"
                              Dan huffed, "Detention, you?"
"It's quiet. Usually," Phil crooked a teasing eyebrow at Dan, who laughed in response. "What did you do?"
"Oh ya, know. Set fire to a classroom and hit the teacher," Dan smirked.
Phil frowned, "No, you didn't. I'm not an idiot."
Laughing, Dan nudged Phil, "You got me! I spoke back. It's not cool at all, but hey ho."
They sat for the whole of break, chatting about everything and anything, before the bell signalling the end rang, interrupting their conversation about Fall Out Boy.
Phil groaned internally, while Dan let out a full on huff of frustration, "Well, I'll see you around Phil Lester"
                              "Yeah," Phil smiled.

Dan smiled in return and collected his books off of the table and began walking out of the library with a spring in his step, glad he had made a new friend with stuff in common with him. All of his other friends weren't into anime or any of the bands he was interested in; they all liked the stereotypical stuff a popular group would like.
Phil looked down at the desk and gasped when his notebook was no longer in front of him. His heart leapt to his mouth, as his eyes darted to Dan and there his notebook lay, amongst the pile of books in Dan's arms. He mentally face palmed himself and let out a quiet cry in frustration. "This isn't happening!"
He frantically searched the corridors for Dan, but once the second bell for lesson rang, Phil knew he would only get it back when Dan returned it and that would come with a side of name calling. He slouched into his chair at the back of the classroom, tears brimming his eyes, as he thought of what Dan's group must be doing to his notebook right now. They were probably ripping it apart, laughing at his drawings of Dan.
Dan sat down in English, spreading his books out onto the table, but he noticed that one wasn't his. He frowned and it finally clicked, "Phil's notebook!" He sat for a while just staring at the cover of the secret possession that belonged to the adorable, shy kid in his year. Should he open it? It can't be that secret, can it?

Phan One Shots
FanfictionHere are just some Phan (Dan and Phil) one shots I decided to write on evenings when I'm sitting, bored at home. There won't be any major triggers, only some angst.
