Phil stood leant against the wall of his friends party; the stench of alcohol, stale food and body odour suffocating him to the point of gagging. His eyes scanned the room looking for his friend, who had ditched him after saying he wouldn't, as Phil was new to the area and didn't know anyone there.

"Hey there," an averaged height brunette girl, with piercing blue eyes waltzed towards Phil, holding a drink out to him. "You look lonely." She pouted and stroked her nail against Phil's cheek, causing Phil to gulp and pull away awkwardly.

"I'm okay, thank you," Phil coughed, taking a sip from his warm beer.

The girl purred and leant in close to Phil, a smirk playing on her lips "Do you want to go somewhere, with me?"

Phil turned his head away, wincing from her alcohol stanched breath, "No."

"Oh, there you are, love!" a random boy called from behind, practically shoving the brunette out of the way. "I've been looking everywhere for you!" The boy continued, leaning in to give Phil a kiss on the cheek and a 'go along with it' look.

"Sorry, love. This girl wouldn't let me go," Phil gestured towards the brunette, who was now stood awkwardly.

"You were hitting on my boyfriend?" the other boy glared and Phil noticed how his eyes were a golden brown and looked gorgeous in the glistening lights of the party. "Well I'm afraid he's taken, by me, so scram!"

The girl practically ran off into the crowds of people and Phil couldn't resist chuckling, "Thanks for that."

"No problem," the boy smiled and stuck out his hand for Phil to shake. "I'm Dan."

"Phil," Phil shook Dan's hand and smiled at the warmth of his skin against his own. "Why did you help me?"

Dan rubbed the back of his neck and chuckled nervously, "I've been watching you most of the night. You look pretty lost and handsome."

A light blush rose to Phil's cheeks and luckily the dark of the night hid them. He stuttered, "T-thanks. Are you enjoying the party?"

"As much as you are, so I'm guessing that's not a lot," Dan smirked. "You wanna get out of here?"

Phil nodded eagerly and they both left the blustering party, walking down the street towards the town centre. The cool breeze of the night blew against Phil and he shivered, rubbing his bare arms to create some warmth - he knew he should have worn a jumper.

"Are you cold?" Dan asked worriedly. "Here, have this." He took off his hoodie, ignoring the many protests from Phil and wrapped it around his slim figure.

"Now you're going to be cold," Phil pouted.

Dan laughed silently at how adorable this grown man could be, "I don't really feel the cold." His eyes stayed on the floor in front of him the whole way into the town centre, but every now and then stealing a glance at Phil.

"Do you want to get a coffee or something?" Phil asked, nervously. "I know it's like one in the morning, but I'm not tired and -"

"I'd love to, Phil," Dan smiled, nudging Phil's arm playfully.

They sat at the back of the coffee shop, laughing constantly and neither could believe how much they had in common: bands, hairstyles, anime and more.

"How come I've never met you before?" Dan asked, with a soft frown.

"I only just moved to the area," Phil replied taking a sip of his coffee. "Do you know Tyler?"

Dan's eyes glanced over to the left, "Yeah, I do. We went to the same college."

"Well that's my cousin, who made me go to the party, I didn't actually know anyone else there," Phil rolled his eyes. "Last time I trust him."

Dan laughed softly, his gaze landing on Phil's and a small smile etched onto their lips, as they sat in a comfortable silence. Dan thought that Phil was extremely handsome, better looking than most people in this area; he was a blessing to this place.

Their hands absentmindedly crept towards each other beneath the table and latched onto each other; they had finally found the love of their lives, even if they both hadn't realised it yet.
