A/N: This one is long, because I didn't want to make three parts, so it is also probably a bit jumpy to quicken the story. But I hope you like it!
Also, just to remind you, speech in 'one mark' are thoughts and "normal speech is still in normal speech marks."

Phil hurriedly made his way up the small street towards his apartment building; the snow was getting heavier and by the looks of it, was not going to ease up anytime soon. He then thought back to Dan. Was he safe? Did he get caught out in this snow? He shook away the thoughts of Dan lying in a ditch somewhere helpless and alone and punched in the pin for the main door to his building.
He'd decided to take the elevator up to the ninth floor and entered his apartment, hanging his coat up inside once he was in. He switched on the light, illuminating his hall and walked into the kitchen where he began to make himself a cup of coffee. His mind was still on the boy from the cafe. Why couldn't he get him off of his mind? Maybe because he was like him or maybe because he felt sorry for the boy, but what Phil did know, was that he was going to do his best to help him.
Then his phone started to buzz in his pocket, so he reached in and pulled it out to see Pj's name on the screen.
"Hey, Peej," Phil smiled into the phone.
"Hey, Phil," Pj said. "I heard you found someone else like us!"
"Yeah I did. Oh he's great, Pj," Phil smiled giddily now. Stop, he thought, he's fifteen. Fifteen!
"Well tell me everything!" Pj cheered down the phone.
Phil went on to explain how Dan had tried to enter his mind and how they began to chat and that he found out Dan doesn't have a safe home.
"You're not going to go out of your way to help him are you?" Pj asked with a warning tone.
"Of course I am, Peej. He's fifteen and alone," Phil sighed, sitting down on his sofa with his coffee in hand.
"I know you well enough that I'm not going to talk you out of this one, but be careful. Who knows what his family life is like. It could be dangerous," Pj said.
"Even more reason to help him, Peej. He's clearly had to self teach his skill and I think we could help him control it," Phil exclaimed with excitement. "He'd be like a prodigy."
"Phil," Pj sighed but was chuckling lightly. "I want to meet this kid that has had such an impact on you in one meeting."
"I think he stops at the cafe every day, so won't be hard."
"Yeah, he comes everyday at four o'clock sharp!" Chris yelled.
"Thanks Chris," Phil chuckled.
"Right, I've got to go because our pizza will be here soon, but promise me you won't do anything stupid," Pj said.
"I promise," Phil smiled. "I'll see you tomorrow."
Phil put his phone down and looked across at the blank TV screen and sighed. What was he going to do about the boy?
The following day, Phil found himself staring at the clock in his last lecture of the day; five minutes left until he could go to the cafe and see Dan. Part of him was worried Dan might not turn up, maybe he'd scared him the day before or maybe his parents wouldn't let him out again.
The lecture ended and Phil practically ran out of his university and through the streets to the coffee shop. When he reached the cafe, he entered slowly, as he was weirdly nervous about seeing Dan again.
