A/N: Writing written in italics are thoughts by the way! It's how Phil communicates in the mind.

------------------------------

"Hey there, Dan," Phil smiles brightly and Dan knew why he was there. It was so obvious from his attire of a tight suit with a blue tie and the badge resting on his chest. "I'm Phil."

Dan kept his head down; his hands cuffed and chained to the floor and he was sat on an uncomfortable, turquoise, plastic chair. None of this really mattered though seeing as he had the power of telekinesis, but they had recently designed a helmet which prevented him from using those powers.

"Look, Dan," Phil starts with a sigh. "I know what you're going through."

"You have no idea!" Dan spits like a vicious animal, as he pulls against his chains to reach a slightly frightened Phil. "You have no idea!"

"I do," he gulps nervously. "I was once in that very chair, chained up and had a helmet on my head."

Dan rests back into the chair and looks back down at the floor. He shouldn't be there; he didn't kill all of them people on purpose he was just angry.

"I'm here to help you, Dan," Phil places his papers onto the table beside him and glances around the room, noticing the many guards surrounding them.

Phil listened in carefully to the thoughts in the room; 'what a freak,' 'he can't change, he's a murderer,' 'I just want to go.'

"Go then if you don't want to be here!" Phil says angrily, which startles the guards. "Go!" He chains into their thoughts to tell them: 'Tell the director that I'll deal with this my way.'

The guards leave reluctantly and Dan begins to snigger. He couldn't believe that they had found someone with that power, who was willing to be on their side. Especially someone who wanted to help him, but Phil probably had no intentions of helping Dan; he just wanted the pay check at the end.

"You're telepathic."

"Yes," Phil replies cautiously. "But I'm not going to read you, Dan. I don't want to do that to you, you don't dese-"

"Do it," Dan lifts his head to meet Phil's gaze. "Read me, go on."

"That's not what I came to do."

"I don't care, just do it," Dan insists. "Do it! You probably wouldn't be able to handle it anyway."

The longer that Phil stares into the deep brown pools of Dan's eyes, the more he begins to find himself getting lost in their sparkle, but he also notices how bloodshot they are. It almost resembles his when he would cry himself to sleep every night, but Dan's are worse; Dan's are almost fully red, as if he had been torturing himself, mentally.

Phil focuses onto Dan's mind. The helmet was only built to prevent Dan's powers, so it's easy enough for Phil to penetrate the field and access Dan's thoughts and memories. The first few are simple thoughts like 'I hate everything' and 'I shouldn't be here.' Phil can handle these like they were his own and he scours the lighter thoughts of Dan's mind.

They are mostly memories and thoughts about being brought into here, but Phil expected that. However, the thoughts become more intricate and the further Phil goes into Dan's mind the deeper he gets lost in all of the chaos.

Minds are like computers, but are a lot more complicated than a computers mind. They are also vulnerable compared to a computer. One false move and that could be the end of their memories, but Phil had been taught how to control his powers after the incident involving Isobel and Max Turner.
