"And they are back." Rocky said, to us as we came back.
"Finally." Riker said getting up. "Ross mom wants us home."
"Okay." Ross said. "We're coming back tomorrow right?" He asked to his brother.
"Yeah I think...?" Riker said, as Rocky and him packed up their stuff.
Ross then turned to me like I didn't hear it, "We'll be here tomorrow."
"Cool. Same time?" I asked, adjusting my bag on my shoulder.
"Same time." He confirmed with a perfect smile.
"See you then." I smiled back as a 'bye for now.' Then came a situation. You can't shake his hand Blair that's too formal, I told myself. Hugging is a bit overboard. Kissing isn't an option at this moment in time. I settled for an awkward high five...thing.
I guess we'll figure that out tomorrow. Because I was definitely invited to come back, and I was going to show up.
I got back to the hotel room where nothing was really going on. Aiden was playing on my mom's cell phone. My mom was sleeping. She doesn't do well with flights.
"I'm hungry." Was the first thing Aiden complained about she I walked in.
"Too bad." I responded. "Get something to eat then." I flung my bag over the side of the chair, the retrieving my cell phone out of it.
"Go wake up mom." Aiden requested.
"Are you serious?" I asked. "She'll give me a black eye if I wake her up." I said rather convincingly.
"Just make loud noises until she wakes up." Aiden suggested. I didn't know if that was a good or bad idea, to be completely honest.
"Sometimes...sometimes you do good." I said.
"Uh huh." He moaned to me as he sat himself back down on the couch.
"So...?" I urged him to bang some spoons and pots or something.
"Oh, no I meant you make some noise." He said. I rolled by eyes and looked around. Casually letting the metal tissue box get knocked off of the counter to the tile ground. It made that metallic swirl around sound, while my mom pretty much ran out of her room.
"What did you do?" She practically screamed, her eyes wandering the room like a crime scene.
"I needed a tissue." I said awkwardly. I've never been good at the excuse thing. "and, it fell." My mom stared at me, then I think decided not to ask, as she walked into our little hotel room kitchen.
"Did you guys eat anything yet?" She asked. I looked over to Aiden who's eyes widened a bit. He loves food.
"No." He said in a serious tone.
"I picked up some microwave spaghetti if you want it. It's in the cabinet." She motioned it with her hand.
I ripped off the plastic cover from the bowl, and let it cook in the microwave. Microwave Spaghetti, the most lazy food. Ever. But I was hungry. Aiden was hungry. And all we had was a choice of goldfish or spaghetti. Well, cereal too, but no one wanted it.
Aiden sat himself back down on his couch. "Don't you dare spill." My mom ordered him, handing him a napkin.
I took a seat at the two person dining table with my mom.
"So, did you have fun today? First day?" She asked.
"Yup." Was my response. Simple.
"Who were you hanging out with?"
"Just some people I met there, didn't I already tell you this?" I thought about it.
"Yes, but I need to know who you are hanging out with." She continued. "I don't need you running off with heroine addicts or something."
"Really? Do I even look like someone who would do that?" She shrugged her shoulders. I tossed my food around in the little plastic bowl.
"So..?" She urged me. "Blair, you obviously have a crush if you won't talk about it."
"Ross Lynch." I said seriously, looking up at her. Watching her eyebrows raise and her mouth open to start laughing.
"Okay, really honey, who is it?" She asked again.
I picked my phone off the table, tapping through my phone, then showing her a picture of - Ross Lynch.
"Are you serious?" She asked, a little more surprised now. I just nodded, because what else was I supposed to do? Stand up on the table and jump with her? "How did you manage that?" She asked, that's not insulting...
"So can I hang out with him tomorrow?" I asked, ignoring her comment.
"I don't know this guy." She paused, "actually, I do. But not aside from TV screens."
"Is that a no?" I asked, trying not to seem upset, but really by mind was melting.
"No, I just-". She got up an started cleaning the plates. "I wanna meet him."
"Well I don't think it's meet the parents time yet-"
"That's not why. I want to make sure that he's not a jerk."
"But he's not!" I argued, getting up also.
"I just don't want you to really like this guy, then leave hoping he'll call you up, but you actually never hear a single word from him again."
"Well I guess that could happen..." I stood still in thought. "But it won't."
"Uh huh." My mom turned on the sink and everyone had to talk louder.
"Just let me have some fun. It's vacation. Plus I'll never get a guy to like me back in Ohio."
"Okay." She said under the roar of the crappy hotel sink.
"Yes?" I asked.
"Yes." She said. Then turned around with her finger pointed at me. "But I still want to meet him."
"Got it." I put my plate by the sink and went into my room to change in my pajamas. At least, that's what I was supposed to be doing. I was actually just laying down on my bed, sort of smiling to myself.
