I had already gone to bed and was sleeping when I got a call from Ross at three in the morning.

"Hey."  He answered on the phone.

"Really?  Ross it is three in the morning."

"I know!"

"Ok, I love you, but what do you want?"  I complained.  He should really know by now that I am certainly not a morning (or middle of the night)  person.

"Can you come outside..?"  Did he plan something again?  Is this his thing...middle of the night dates?

"Why?"

"Just get your butt outside."  He said.

"Fine."  I walked out of my room, trying not to make any noise as I went down the stairs and out the front door.  Only to come across Ross in my yard holding a blanket. "Really, what is this?"

"Just thought we could camp out for a bit."

"Really."  I asked, I was still grumpy.

"Yeah, when I got back I realized that we should at least take all the time together as we possibly can, that even means the middle of the night."  He said with a serious face.

"Okay, fine I guess I agree."  I looked around.  "Who knows you're here?"

"Ryland."  He said.  "I told him before I left."

"Oh, how did you get here?"  I asked, before I looked in the driveway to see their car.  "Oh.  I see."

"Yeah, not stop asking questions."

"Fine!"  I said putting my hands up.  He laid the blanket he brought on the ground.  "Okay, but who's blanket is this..?"

"It's the hotel's."  He laughed at that.

"Why is that funny?  You took a hotel blanket, and now you are laying it on the muddy ground?"  I started laughing myself.

"Well it must be funny because you're laughing.  Besides, I didn't want to get my own blanket dirty!"  He said sitting down on the blanket, then patting his hand next to him signaling me to sit down.

"Well now I am awake."  I giggled to myself.  "What is it with you and late night dates?"  I asked him.

"What is it with you sand being so beautiful?"  He smiled at me, making me smile trying to think of an answer but he answered first.  "We both can't help it."

"How is that?"

"Didn't I say to stop asking questions?"  He said smartly.

"Yeah you did, but now I say you need to stop not answering my questions."

"Well, you can't help that your eyes are just sparkling right now, and I can't lie to you - your bed head right now, it's pretty sexy."  I laughed and nudged him.  "I can say that because I'm your boyfriend."

"Okay fine, thank you."  I continued to laugh.

"And I can't help coming to see you in the middle of the night because like we need oxygen, I need you."

"That's cheesy."  I said jokingly.

"No, pizza is cheesy."  I laughed.  "That was me trying to be romantic, stop being so judgy."

"I am not.  I am trying to be logical, you woke me up and now we are sitting in my yard saying cheesy-"

"Not cheesy." He corrected me.

"-romantic pick up lines."

"There ya go."  He smiled at me, and there was a moment of silence just looking at each other.  "Moments like this remind me about when I first saw you."

"Yeah, I remember too.  Even though I saw you before you saw me.  Before I actually met you, you were just some hot guy in a magazine."  I thought about what I said then corrected him before he said anything.  "Don't push it, I said you're hot."  He laughed at that.

"I don't know if I told you this, I probably didn't, but I saw you before you fell.  I remember because I was zoning out starin at you, and Rydel kept snapping at you.  I am actually so glad you fell trying to catch that football, because if you didn't I probably would have never helped you up and we may never have been here right now."

"Well you are welcome for my brother's awful throw and my terrible athletic skills."  I laughed.

"I was trying to think of ways to come say something to you, but thank god I didn't need to.  Considering my pick-up lines are pretty cheesy, you probably would have kicked sand in my face."

"Correction your pick-up lines are romantic, not cheesy.  I thought we settled that."  We both laughed.  "And, I don't think I would have kicked sand at you.  I probably would have fainted or something."

"Well I would have caught you.  Then maybe we would have still gotten together, and you would still have seen my butt while I was gettin gout of the shower."

"Okay no."  I put my hands over my face and laughed into them.  "We don't talk about that, that - that was not fun.  I have no words for that."

"Sorry,"  He laughed at me "I had to bring it up!"

"You did not, I do not think you needed to bring that up ever again.  So from now on, NEVER again!"

"Well at least you didn't fall for that Josh guy first, because he seems like he would swoop you up at any free moment."  Ross said.  I stopped laughing when I heard Josh's name.  Great back on him.  I'm still not telling him.

"He would, but I don't think I would let him."

"And why is that?"  Ross said.  Please change the subject.

"He is just kind of jerky, and I don't like him anymore.  I like you!"  I said trying so hard to switch topics.

"He isn't that bad, just a bit desparate for a great girl like you."  Ross said, why does he keep talking about this?  Wait, compliment.

"Thanks."  I need to tell him.  "Ross.."  Maybe I shouldn't.  Oh god, if I hadn't have kissed Josh.  Why did I do it.  Now I have to tell Ross.

"What is it?"  He asked.  Ok, here we go.  I could lose my boyfriend right now, in my yard, at three in the morning.  Should I bail?  I could say something else.  No, I have to say something, but I don't want to lose him.  I started to feel myself get a bit teary.  "You okay?"  He asked noticing.

My voice was cracking as I said this.  "Ross..I think I need to tell you something."
