"He still loves you!!" Jenna screamed after I told her what Ross had said to me only a few hours ago. "Blair! Why aren't you excited?!" She said punching my shoulder.
"Because, there is still this boy named Josh." I said cuddling up in my blanket on the couch.
"Sweet sugar," she mumbled to herself. "Who cares about Josh!" She said, acting like that sentence wouldn't even offend Josh himself.
I stared her down, "I do!"
"Okay, but you like Ross more right?" She asked.
"Yeah, I guess.."
"Then break up with Josh please."
"But everything is going so well with him!" I complained.
"Blair listen to me." She said sitting up tall and pointing her finger at my face. "I've seen you with Josh. And I've seen you with Ross."
"Yeah, but-"
"Shut it." She commanded making me scrunch my head in. "You need to get back with Ross."
"What's your reason."
"Because why are you dating him in the first place?"
"Because I like him..?" I answered.
"Is that why?" She asked me again.
"Because...I wanted to try to move on from Ross."
"And how is that working out for you?"
"It's not." I said spinning my thumbs. "But it started like that...now I actually really like him! He is so sweet Jenna."
"Are you sure you just wanted a boyfriend and Josh was the best option?" Shoot, she was right. I thought I needed a boyfriend...because Ross had a girlfriend. Plus my relationship with Josh wasn't getting anywhere. Same thing every time.
"So final question." Jenna said firmly.
"What." I said.
"How badly do you want to make out with Ross right now." She asked.
"What kind of question is that!" I laughed, but her face stayed completely serious.
"How badly do you want-". She started to repeat.
"I heard it the first time."
"And I heard no answer." She said, I groaned and leaned back on the couch.
"Fine, pretty badly." I said.
"That's it." She said. "Only pretty badly."
"What do you want me to say?" I argued.
"I don't want you to say anything, I want you to realize that you need to get away from Josh."
"What do you have against Josh?!" I said.
"Josh didn't fly himself across the country to surprise you." That silenced me. Josh has actually done nothing in this relationship, except for kiss me. And what is a relationship based on kissing? It also reminded me of homecoming, by far the best night of my life.
"You're right..." I said. "Should I break up with him?"
"Depends. How badly do to want to make out with Ross right now?" She said smirking, then I actually thought about it. Imagining it, remembering what it felt like to have his lips pushed against mine, feeling fireworks just shoot from my heart. I had been silent for a while thinking about it, then I giggled a bit to myself.
"That's why you should break up with Josh." Jenna said, I didn't even answer.
"Why?" I asked confused.
"Because even when he is miles away, you just thinking about Ross, you are happy. I can see it in your eyes Blair." She slouched down then smiled at me. "I've known you forever, and I can tell you- you haven't made that face since homecoming."
"That's because I haven't seen him since homecoming."
"That doesn't happen with Josh." She said.
"No, it doesn't." I thought to myself for a second. "I'll do it, I'll break up with him."
"Thank you." She smiled, then hugging me.
My answer to her question: I don't even want to kiss him, I just want of look into those gorgeous eyes again, and realize that no person in this world could make me happier.
