I pretty much floated into my hotel room. Shutting the door and barely being able to function.
"Blair, you're home finally." My mom said. She came out of her room and looked at me. "What happened to you?" She must have noticed my attire.
My hair was dripping wet down my back with sand shuffled through it. There was sand stuck to all of my clothing and skin.
"It rained." Was my response to that question.
"So, how was it...is he still liking you?"
"He asked my out mom." I had to tell her eventually. Now seemed like the best time.
"He asked you out?" She acted so surprised.
"Yeah, and I know it's family vacation. As that I should spend more time with you guys-"
"You can go." My mom said.
"Are you serious." I couldn't comprehend her answer. I was almost positive she would say no. "Thank you." I let out in a sigh of relief.
"Honey, it's your first date, I can't stop you from that." She smiled. I ran to her and gave her a tight hug. Then went to my room, letting myself fall into the bed.
I got my phone out and texted Jenna.
I need to call you.
My phone rung immediately.
"Is something wrong?" She asked as soon as I picked up.
"Yes."
"What?" She asked frantically.
"I got asked out."
"On a date..?"
"On a date." I confirmed. I heard her squeal on the phone. "I know, I know. I'm excited too."
"I need details. Spill." She said urgently. I struggled with myself to decide if I should tell her who it is.
"You're not actually going to believe me." I said, I say up on my bed, twirling what I believed was a strand of string from my cover up.
"Why?" She asked confused and concerned.
"And you can't tell anyone." I added.
"Is there a problem with him?"
"No he's just, famous." I said, I couldn't find another word.
"Famous? How famous? Who is this?" She started a line of 20 questions.
"It's Ross Lynch." Silence. Dead silence.
"Wait you're serious." That wasn't the response I was looking for.
"Yes. And we have a date tonight. So you need to help me pick out clothes and stuff-"
"You got a date, with Ross Lynch?" I could visualize her screaming into the phone.
"Yes." I said, I was over it. Well, no I wasn't. But I was trying my best to think of him as just another human being.
"Why would you do this to me." She argued. "I was supposed to be able to walk across the street to your house and help you get ready for this moment."
"Sorry?" I said. I got down on my knees and flipped open my suitcase. It was a huge mess. I didn't even know what I was looking at.
I raided through it though, pulling out everything. I didn't have many options on what to wear.
I only bought two dresses. One was dark navy blue with buttons down the front and the other was a pastel purple with a cute braided brown belt.
"Okay purple or blue dress." I asked her.
