I was almost asleep when I heard my phone ring, Ross. I was happy he called. I answered quickly, I wanted to know how breaking up with Marie went.
"Hey, how'd it go?" I asked eagerly.
"Horrible." He said.
"What?" I asked, it couldn't have been that horrible.
"It was awful."
"Oh no, why?"
"Well, I said that it wasn't working out and then I told her we had to breakup."
"Oh...? What's so awful about that?" I asked confused.
"Then she got up, slapped me, and dumped my drink on me." He said. Maybe it was that horrible.
"Ross.." I started.
"Yeah, so now my face is bright red, I'm soaking wet with sticky soda all over me. We had already ordered so she left me to pay for it."
"Sorry..." I said. He was completely right, it went horrible.
"Well at least it's over now." He said.
"Yeah..where are you now?"
"I'm in the car, in my driveway."
"That's...that pretty much sucks."
"Well, I picked her out in the first place." He said. "And what's done is done, she is gone. Probably never talk to her again."
"I wouldn't. She dumped your soda on you." I laughed a little.
"She did me a favor, because I heard soda does wonders for you hair." He said.
"Yeah it makes it sticky and gross!" I laughed.
"Yeah. Pretty much." He started laughing too, which was good. I looked at the time, almost one am.
"Hey, I have to go." I yawned. "I'm tired."
"Oh yeah, sorry, forgot about the time change." He said. California is like five hours behind.
"It's fine."
"Bye."
"Bye." I said, about to remove the phone from my ear.
"Wait," Ross said.
"Yeah..?"
"I love you." Sweetly said, in his voice.
"I love you too." I said, then hung up the phone.
