The evening came quick, Marinette's living room turning dark as he sun disappeared behind taller buildings that surrounded all around her. But it was nice calm night, stars twinkling over head as if they were smiling down on the beautiful city she lived in.
With her apartment, there was small balcony with a metal railing, sort of like with her room at the bakery she lived above since forever, from what she could remember. She slid open the sliding glass door and stepped outside into the crisp, late winter air. Marinette leaned against the ice-cold railing, the metal stinging her hand.
Marinette stared up at the sky, ignoring the fact her hands were colder than ice. In all honesty, she was just ignoring her responsibilities as an adult. With countless emails to reply to, orders of clothing to ship out... it was all just to much to handle for her at the moment.
"Look what the cat dragged in." A familiar sly voice called from across the boulevard. Marinette stared into the glowing green eyes of her partner, Chat Noir. A smile shaped her chapped lips.He hopped across the street, landing beside the young woman. "Well, well, well... look who it is after all these years." He mused, delicately lifting a chunk of her long hair, still a little damp from the shower she took after eating delivery pizza. "My princess~" he let her hair fall back into place as he bowed, bending at his hips.
Marinette rolled her eyes. He always treated her different it seems, every time he saw her. "Silly kitty..." she sighed, reaching her hand up to rub his head between the plastic ears on his head. A soft chuckle escaped his lips. He then suddenly pulled her into a hug. "I thought that you wouldn't come back." He admitted. Since he didn't have the nerve to touch her voluntarily as Adrien, hugging her as Chat Noir was second best.
Marinette smiled and hugged the superhero back. "You thought I would move away, when I never wanted to in the first place, and then not come back." She asked, amusement laced her voice. Chat let her out of the hug and shrugged a little, rubbing the back of his neck awkwardly. Marinette sighed and put her hands on her hips. "I could never just abandon Paris like that. Or my friends, and including you as well. Now come on inside. Its freezing out here." She turned around and entered the small apartment.

Chat followed the petite female into her new home. She walked into the kitchen area which was complete with a sink, electric stove/oven, microwave that hung over the stove, a simple white fridge/freezer and cupboards for storage space. Off in the far corner sat a two-person dining table. In the middle of the large room that occupied the kitchen, she had a small area to take off shoes and a little storage unit to set keys, coats and other items down, all of that sitting next to the front door. Off to the right of the front door was a living room, complete with a love-seat size couch, coffee table and a 40-50 inch tv sitting on a tv stand. Next to where he stood in front of the sliding glass there was a bay window, and then farther down the room there was a hall way that he guessed led to her bedroom and the bathroom.
"Such a nice place you've got here, princess." He smiled, closing the sliding glass door behind him.
"Thanks kitty!" She beamed, walking out of the kitchen with a small plate of fresh cookies. She always seemed to keep them around, and she had always given him some that were fresh out of the oven. She walked over to the bay window, motioning for him to come sit down with her. Chat Noir didn't hesitate. He sat down next to her, taking a warm cookie off the plate when Marinette offered it to him.
"Princess... I came here to get to know you again." He said, hesitation in his voice. "When you were in Highschool you were a happy, cheerful girl that loved to dabble in sewing, and could bake amazing treats whenever she wanted." He stared down at the small cookie, the chocolate chips still melted. "Who is Marinette Dupain-Cheng now?" He asked, looking up at her with curious green eyes.
