Marinette stayed silent, in fear she would be beat again. Their kidnapped was masked but she could tell he was smirking.
"Aren't you being to proud, little lady? Can barely sit up, can't you?" He sneered, spitting on the concrete in front of her feet.
"Who are you, and why did you bring us here?" Marinette asked, scooting back till her spine was against the ice-cold wall.
"You shouldn't be asking him." A deeper voice sounded behind the cloaked kidnapper. Chloe, who had been kicked to the other side of the room and had a better view of their visitor. Marinette heard her partner gasp.
Their kidnapper stepped to the aide to reveal a tall man dressed in purple and black, a silver mask covering most of his head. In his hand he held a staff.
"Hawkmoth..." Marinette whispered.
Hawkmoth sneered. "Glad to see you recognize me, little lady." He looked down at her with a cold stare.
"How did you know I was Ladybug?" She asked, shifting her weight uncomfortably.
Hawkmoth clicked his tongue. "That part was easy. It took me a few years but I figured it out." He snapped his gloved fingers together. The masked accomplice turned heel, left the room and a couple seconds later, threw a battered Master Fu to the floor.
Marinette stared in horror as the Great Guardian of the miraculous jewels lay helplessly in front of her. The old man was crippled when she left. Now he couldn't move.
"What did you do to him?!" Marinette screamed, fighting against the restraints in attempt to rush to the old man's side. Marinette couldn't even tell if he was alive any more. He was still, bruised, battered and bleeding from the forehead.
"Once I figured out who the great guardian was I did my research. If I blackmailed him he would tell me anything I wanted to hear." Hawkmoth smirked. "Now Ladybug, Queen Bee... your only pawns in my game, mere pieces on a checkered board." He looked down at the glass dome of sorts on the top of his staff.
"What do you mean by that..?" Chloe asked, sniffing her tears away. Hawkmoth chuckled lowly.
"I'm surprised you haven't caught on yet. Your Miraculous... I'm missing two of them." Marinette's stomach dropped. She shrugged one shoulder up to her ear. She felt no poke of the earring stud. They had taken the only thing that could protect her. They had taken Tikki away from her.~
Chat Noir landed on the empty street, falling to his knees. His eyes pooled with tears. Marinette had to be okay. She had to be! There was just one thing causing him to be unsure of that, however.
Flashback to half an hour prior.
"You can stop searching like lost puppies and start thinking for a moment." An unfamiliar voice piped up behind them. A... sinister voice.
Chat Noir's stomach did a complete barrel roll. He knew that voice and he knew it well.
"Hawkmoth." Fox's sneer cut into his thoughts, taking the words right out of his mouth. The one man who had been terrorizing the innocent civilians of Paris, and the guy that they had been after for more than a decade stood right in front of them. "Where are they?!" Fox continued, clenching his fist.
Chat Noir, to stunned to speak stood there while his partner did all the talking. Hawkmoth smiled sinisterly.
"You think I'm just going to tell you? The game isn't that easy, boy." He looked amused. Hawkmoth continued. "A slug-fest isn't very pleasing to me... you see, I'm much older than you four and fist fights aren't exactly my cup of tea any longer. So, I'll offer you a deal." He slammed his staff against the metal, making it vibrate horrendously.
Both Chat Noir and Fox remained silent. Hawkmoth took this as an invitation to continue.
"I'll give you boys 48 hours to give up your Miraculous. Easy enough right? Not exactly. Right now your pathetic lovers are wasting away in hell. Every hour you fail to give up your jewels their torture gets worse." He emphasized the word "worse".
Fox stepped forward but Chat Noir held him back by extending his staff across the ginger head's chest.
"Oh, and if you don't give up your Miraculous within those 48 hours we kill both of them, and my akumas will see to you." He said nonchalantly. "Now... would you two like to give it up now? Because without me, you'll never find Ladybug or Queen Bee ever again."
Hawkmoth waited patiently for any response out of the two super heroes.
"Hmf! How selfish! You'd rather keep your measly Miraculous than save your girlfriends?" Hawkmoth laughed. "Your two days are ticking away, gentlemen." With that said, Hawkmoth disappeared.Present time.
Chat Noir was totally and utterly defeated. His fiancé and partner were trapped by Hawkmoth.
The dark evening hours had settled into place by then. Darkness camouflaged him almost perfectly.
Fox landed beside him. "Chat..." he said quietly. "We can find them. Don't give up hope yet, please." He put a gentle hand on Chat Noir's shoulder. Fox was right. They couldn't give up hope yet. They had to find Ladybug and Queen Bee, or it would the end of team Miraculous forever.

Ayeee the multi-part chapters aren't overrr.
YOU GUYS. TODAY WAS THE BEST DAY OF MY LIFE. I WENT TO WARPED TOUR! I got a picture with my favorite member of I Prevail and I swear to the Miraculous gods he is sweetest person I've ever met.
Rare photo of your admin! ^
Today made me so happy that I started crying when I Prevail started singing my anthem, Scars.
Despite the fact of breathing in so much cannabis smoke, cigarette smoke and vape smoke I think I might be high, it was an amazing day.
Your comments also made my day so much!
There might be a small delay in chapters for a little while, as I hit a writers block. Again. I'll try again soon!
Thats all for now.
🐞 out!
