The day of Alya and Nino's wedding came faster than Marinette expected. When Alya said everyone from highschool would be there... she meant it. The bridesmaid lineup was made of Rose, Juleka, Mireille, Sabrina and Aurore, and of course Marinette as the maid of honor.
Together they all sat in the bride's dressing room, taking preparation photos and then pre-ceremony pictures.
Alya's dress was absolutely stunning and matched her perfectly, complimenting her figure. It was mostly lace, with ankle length sleeves and a skirt that went down to the floor, a five-foot long circular train behind her. The first layer of the dress was pure white and had a sweetheart neckline. Over that was a lace/tule mix fabric that was attached to it, which went up to her collarbones and covered her arms. The skirt was just the right amount of poof, lace cascading all the way down, faltering at her butt and then lined the bottom of the dress. Her back had the same trend as her front. Instead of a zipper, her dress had pearl buttons that attached with hooks that went in a straight line all the way from the top of her neck down to her waist. Alya's hair was curled into loose cornrows, bangs done in such a way that they stuck to the side just above her eyebrow. Her vail was a white flower crown with silvery tule that covered her face, the front fabric going down to her elbows and the back going about a foot past the back of the train. The bottom of the vail had lace as well, matching the dress patterns. And finally she wore white heels that strapped up just past her ankle.
Overall she was absolutely beautiful. Her makeup was a perfect blend of elegant and subtle and her bouquet matched her bridesmaids, but had a different blend of flowers.
Each bridesmaid wore the same dress and shoes. Marinette was the only one with a bejeweled hair piece.
In the bride's dressing room, a cloud of nervousness and excitement hung over everyone, such much so that even the photographer felt it. Alya pulled Marinette to the side, chest moving up and down heavily as she breathed, obviously nervous.
"Mari... is it normal to be this anxious before you get married?" She asked, sounding out of breath, her hands gripped Marinette's forearms. Marinette giggled and pulled her friend into a careful hug so she didn't mess up her makeup which took a few hours and perfectly styled hair.
"Alya, you look absolutely amazing... you'll take everyone's breath away. Especially Nino's. Be confident." She encouraged. Alya hugged Marinette back.
"Thank you... I just can't believe this is happening." She admitted. The little flower girl; who was Alya's littlest sister came over, the basket of petals hanging from her arm. "Papa says that its time." She said cheerfully. That was Marinette's cue. She gave her friend one last hug before she was no longer an 'independent woman'.
"I'll see soon. Remember, don't pull a me and trip on the way down the aisle." She joked, earning a laugh from Alya.
Marinette smiled to the other girls in the room, waiting anxiously. They all lined up behind Marinette, the flower girl behind that and then three young girls who Marinette didn't know held up a chalk board sign with the words "Here she comes...!", written in neat cursive. The doors to the room opened, the groomsmen and ring-bearer standing in a neat line in the doorway across from them. They all filed out side by side at he same time.
Adrien was the best man for Nino so he was at the front of the line, standing to the right of Marinette - as it was traditional. They stopped at a pair of closed doors and were told to hold hands or link arms. Adrien looked down at Marinette, she was no taller than his shoulder. He curled his hand into a fist and held it over his side, just in front of the fabric of his suit. A smile formed on Marinette's lips, which were covered in a light layer of pink lip-gloss. Marinette carefully slipped her right arm through his, holding his forearm with her hand gently while she gripped the blue bouquet with her other. A gentle music began to play, a tune which she remembered the name of. It was called "The Bluest Star" (Look it up on youtube folks. Its so pretty!)
