Adrien looked out the window as Nino drove him to an unknown location. He had no idea what his best friend had planned. Knowing Nino, it would be something crazy.
The last thing Adrien expected is what happened next. Nino pulled up to an old barn house, decorated with exposed low-light light bulbs on strings.
"This is-..." he started.
"Our young-adulthood hang out? Yes." Nino said, putting the car into "P" for park. He shut off the engine. "Well, come on now." Nino smiled, getting out of the car.
The barn was located on the very outskirts of the town. It was right inside a forest and had the most beautiful scenery in the summer. Now, during the winter at least, the lake the frozen over and the trees were bare.
Adrien would come out here with Nino on his days off, and when Nino was out on break. They would hang out, drink a few beers and catch up. Nino would tease Adrien about being single. Adrien would tease Nino about not having the guts to propose to Alya. They would end up chasing each other into the lake, fully dressed. Later in the night they would build a fire and toast marshmallows. It was the perfect bachelor life. If only he hadn't had to work.
Adrien climbed out of the car. Nino slung his arm around Adrien's shoulders.
"Come on, you'll like this." Nino said, pulling open the old barn doors. Inside, a wave of warm air hit them like a wave. All of their friends from highschool where inside. They cheered upon Adrien's arrival. Surprised, Adrien took a small step back.
But that didn't stop him from smiling. Going to work so young stopped him from having a normal college social life. This is exactly what Nino put together for him.
Nino led Adrien inside the warm barn.
"Hey Adrien! Its been a while, bud!" Kim called, standing in the front of the crowd. In his hand he held a red solo cup, probably filled with some type of beer.
"Thank you, nice to see you all again!" He said as Nino closed the door to keep the heat in.
Adrien took off his coat. Max took it for him and slung it over a chair where several other coats lay.
"I thought a get-together with all your buds from school would be a the best way to spend your last night as a bachelor, rather than going to some casino and spending money on strippers," Nino chuckled.
"Good call, Nino." Adrien laughed, nodding his thanks to Ivan as his old friend handed him a cup.

It was nice catching up with everyone. The room was comfortable, filled with warm conversation. Apparently many of their school-mates went their separate ways. No one really stayed in touch - but thanks to Nino they had all come together again.
Someone put a hand on Adrien's shoulder, gently. Adrien paused his conversation with Max to look over his shoulder. Behind him stood Nathanael. Even he was there. It made him wonder if Chloe was invited to Alya's party she was hosting that night.
"Hey Max, I'll catch up with you in a second," Adrien turned back to the smartest guy he knew.
"Of course, have fun Adrien!" Max waved, and then walked back over to Kim.
"Nathanael, I almost didn't expect you to come." Adrien laughed awkwardly. He mentally slapped himself.
The corner of Nathanael's lips twitched upward into a smile. "I may have had a giant crush on Marinette in the past, but now that I know what you both mean to me... I didn't want to miss this." He shrugged a little, holding his cup with both hands.
