Chapter 11 - I finally found you.

"Ladybug... are you...?" He started slowly. Ladybug's mouth closed shut immediately. Had he figured it out.
"Are you Mireille?" He asked, eyebrows furrowing. Ladybug felt her heart break a little.
"N-no. I'm not Mireille." She choked out.

Adrien was taken aback as he noticed tears in her eyes. He upset her. He wanted to say something but his throat wouldn't allow it.

Ladybug walked closer and grabbed the collar of his shirt, yanking him down to her level. She pressed her lips against his cheek. The same spot where Marinette had... just a few nights before. She stayed there for a moment, tears glistening in her eyelashes. She let him go a moment later, staring up at him. "Ill see you later, kitty." She said with an empty voice.

Adrien watched her run a few paces and use her yoyo to launch herself into the darkening sky. Plagg blinked. "Kid." He said plainly. Adrien turned to face his kwami. "I think I upset Ladybug- no... Marinette." He breathed. Plagg sighed. "Finally figured it out did ya?" He asked.

Adrien stared down at his kwami in confusion. "What do you mean?"
"Kid, I've known it was her for a long time." He said.
"What?! Why didn't you tell me?!" Adrien asked, a whole new set of emotions running through his brain.
"Calm down. Let me explain. I could sense Tikki, her kwami everyday in class. Every time they were near. I couldn't tell you because it was against our code of conduct." He said calmly.
"We'll discuss this later. Plagg, claws out." He said, transforming as he stood still. Chat Noir extended his staff, the familiar beep sounded as he clicked the paw-shaped button that glowed in the darkness.

Marinette sat in her bae window, hugging her legs as she hid her face in her knees.
"Marinette... whats the matter?" Tikki asked, sitting on the cushion in front of the upset girl.
"Chat- no... Adrien..." she whispered. "He thought I was Mireille." She sniffed. "I thought, maybe he would figure it out. I gave him clues. Even though I wasn't ready. And he thought I was Mireille. And the worst part was.. I could hear the disappointment in his voice. See Tikki?! This is why I didn't want to tell him!" She said, her voice shaking as she spoke.

Tikki was about to say something but was cut off by a tapping on her window. Marinette unfolded herself and looked over to see Chat tapping on the pane. Marinette wiped her tears away and opened the window hesitantly.
"My lady..." he whispered. Marinette froze.
"I finally found you. After all this time. You were right next to me all this time. And I never took it into consideration." He said, staying in place. He didn't dare enter her apartment.

Marinette stared at him with wide eyes, a few tears falling down her face.
Chat spoke again. "You told me that you worried about me being disappointed in who you really are. But I am the exact opposite. I am ecstatic. Marinette, you are Ladybug in and out of the mask. I want to get to know you Marinette. I want you to trust me, and eventually feel the same way I do about you." He said, never looking away from her eyes. The same ocean blue eyes that he had fallen in love with years ago.

Marinette let out a small breath she had been holding in. She stared at him for a moment. "Y-You... You aren't disappointed...?" She asked. Chat shook his head.
"Why would I be disappointed in you my lady?" He asked, a soft smile shaping his lips.

Marinette moved out of the way to let Chat in, which he gladly did and then shut the window.
"As I said before... I want to get to know you. The real you. So... would you mind meeting me for coffee tomorrow morning?" He asked
Marinette was still shocked, and confused and happy all at the same time. She couldn't tell if she was dreaming or not. "A-ah- sure. W-what t-time?" She asked.
"Ill pick you up around 9. That sound good?" He asked. Marinette nodded.

Chat smiled. "Great. I've got to get going. See you tomorrow, my lady." He bows and then left her apartment through the sliding glass. She watched him leave, eyes wide. Tikki squealed in the background.
"Marinette!!!!" She flew over. "He just asked you on a date, you know that right?!"
"Y-yea..." she whispered. Marinette still want convinced she wasn't dreaming.
