The day before the wedding.
Marinette slipped on her black stilettos, matching the little black dress every girl seemed to have, especially for nights out on the town. Letting Tikki into her purse, she took her keys and left the condo.Earlier that evening Adrien left for his bachelor party, much like Marinette would be joining her closest friends for her bachelorette party. Marinette walked down the sidewalk, flagging down a taxi. She gave the driver an address on a small folded slip of paper and then buckled up. The sun had just set, causing street lamps and business windows to light up the sidewalk.
Marinette couldn't resist taking a quick Instagram picture of the few raindrops on the taxi window, with the ornate street lamps glowing in the background.
The taxi driver pulled up next to the curb. Marinette set the cash in the window slot. "Merci." She said politely as she climbed out of the car. Marinette adjusted the purse on her shoulder and then entered into the nightclub.
Marinette, not being much of a party person, requested that Alya pick a place where they could all have a good time, without the rager "hangover in the morning" party. She sighed in relief as that was exactly what she got.
The club was dim, neon lights everywhere. She heard the familiar screech from Alya.
"Marinette! You're here!" She squealed, grabbing Marinette's arm.
"A-Alya! Hey, yea sorry I'm late." She laughed awkwardly, rubbing the back of her neck.
"No need to apologize, just come on! Everyone is waiting!" By everyone, Alya meant all her girl friends from highschool. They were all congregated in one area of the club. They all cheered as Alya led Marinette over.
"Last night of total freedom, Marinette!" Rose said happily.
"Lets get this party started! First round on me, ladies~!" Melyne announced. She called a waiter over.
On a table there was nothing but wrapped boxes and bag over flowing with tissue paper.
Marinette couldn't help but feel a little overwhelmed, but she was happy. Her getting married brought everyone together.
"Alright, alright, alright everyone. I hear we got a bachelorette in the house tonight! Lets make this a night she won't forget." The dj at the dj-stand announced, pressing a few buttons. Seconds later, hits from the early 2000's began to play.
Marinette immediately recognized the song as Low By Flo Rida. Her and Alya used to sing along with that song for hours during Highschool even thought they couldn't speak english well. It sure did bring back memories.
Alya took one of Marinette's wrists and Alix took the other. Both women dragged Marinette onto the dance floor.
"She had them apple-bottom jeans (jeans) boots with the fur, (with the fur) she had that whole club lookin' at her! She hit the floor (hit the floor) next thing you know shawty got low low low low low low low low." Alya was already singing.
Marinette, letting them drag her along rolled her eyes. "Are you sure you aren't already drunk?" She teased her long-time friend.
"Oh please, one shot won't do that much damage. We have the whole night to let loose!" She said happily.
Alya and Alix let go of Marinette's wrists as soon as they made it far enough onto the dance floor. Their friends from school crowded around them.
As much as Marinette would've loved to have a family gathering for her quote on quote bachelorette party, maybe Alya was right. One last night of partying before she was forced to become an adult would be a good thing.
