Marinette stood there, shaking like crazy. But she was confident in her answer.
"O-only if you'll allow me to do the same." She sniffed. Adrien's smiled grew twice its original size. He gently took the ring out of its box and with his free hand gently took her left hand which she willingly held out for him. He gently slipped the ring onto her finger and then brought the back of her hand up to his lips. He kissed her hand and then stood up.Alya took the bunches of roses from Marinette. Marinette reached her hands up and cupped Adrien's cheeks gently. The metal wasn't cold. In fact... it was inviting, and felt natural. Adrien bent down and pressed his lips against Marinette's.
The people in the room began clapping and cheering.
Marinette broke away, their lips just centimeters apart. "You sneaky kitty..." she whispered, standing on her tip toes and she hugged him. Adrien chuckled and lifted her off the ground, spinning her around a few times.
"It was worth it, princess, admit it." He smirked."I can't deny that." Marinette giggled, looking up at him with teary blue eyes. Adrien set her down.
"Thats not the only surprise I have in store for you. This building... its yours. Now you can grow your business!" He stepped to the side to let her get a better look. She lips parted away as she surveyed the area."A-Adrien! This is perfect!" She jumped up and down. She turned back to face him, taking him into another hug. "Thank you, thank you, thank you.." she whispered into his ear.
"Anything for you, princess. If I could give you the world I would. But for now I hope this is okay." He chuckled under his breath.
"All of this... is more than I could ever ask for. You are more than I could ever ask for!" She pulled her head back to look at him. Tears still pooled in her eyes. Adrien gently wiped the tears away with his thumb that fell down her already tear stained cheeks.
"I'm glad. You deserve it, my lady."

Marinette still had work to do that evening. She'd celebrate her engagement with friends and family soon. As she typed out letters and emails she found herself staring at the ring. She was still in disbelief. But she was happy. It was the happiest day of her life. She couldn't help the smile that creeped up on her.
Marinette shifted under the covers of her bed, forcing herself back to work. She wished Adrien was there to motivate her, but he had financial/work business to take care of.
She understood, but it was always easier with him around. Tikki popped her head out from behind Marinette's laptop screen.
"Are you okay, Marinette?" She asked, tilting her head slightly. Marinette smiled weakly and nodded."Yea, I'm alright... I'm just really tired." She admitted, rubbing her eyes. Staring at a laptop screen was killing her.
Before Tikki could say something screams were heard off in the distance, and the sound of crashing buildings echoed all around.
"Time to go, Marinette!" Tikki squeaked. Marinette smiled, and nodded. Transforming and fighting an akuma was exactly what she needed to take her mind off her exhaustion from work.
"Tikki, spots on!" Marinette said as she stood up. Tikki was sucked into the black earrings, turning them red with five black spots. The familiar warmth enveloped her. She sighed in relief as the tips of her toes were finally covered. She opened the large window in the bedroom she shared with Adrien and used her yoyo to hop out.
Expecting to be met with an akuma, she was instead met with a wall of fire. Ladybug's mouth hung open.
"This isn't right!" She exclaimed and hauled herself up onto a roof of a building that was yet to be burnt.
