Chapter 7 part3

It feels good that everything is working as directed by my plans.

I just talked to my previous manager in the department store I worked as a part time and she permitted my resignation.

I am now a USRN and I can now work here as a nurse.

After fixing papers, I sent my resume to my friend's aunt so she can process my application for a job in her hospital.

Everything would just be also for formality because she already reserved the spot for me so I'm basically in.

She told me I can start on Monday which is two days from now.

I'm so excited.

I kept on trying my uniform on, checking if it fits well enough for me to move freely.

We will be wearing scrub suit so its basically very comfortable.

Aside from excitement, I also feel nervous.

I wonder who am I gonna work with? Are they gonna be nice to me? Are we gonna go along?

I am not being pessimistic but I am expecting so that somehow if ever we really get along, Ill be surprised. And for me, that is better than be disappointed.

I spent the next two waiting days preparing.

I reviewed about health illnesses.

I bought my own personal stuffs like my own stethoscope, masks, pens and like.

Jace on the other hand insisted on dropping me to and from the hospital. He said it is safer than just walking alone especially when my shift is in the unholy hour. In the end we both agreed that we will not take his car and would just walk. The hospital is just 3 streets away from our place. I got this place mainly because it is near the hospital anyway.

As the day comes, I woke up 2hours earlier than my call time. My shift would start from 7am to 7pm.

I climbed off my bed careful not to wake Jace. He insisted on sleeping in my place so he can wake up in time to accompany me as I go.

I went straight to the shower.

As I went back to the room I saw Jace not in the bed anymore.

I wore my uniform and went in the kitchen where I found Jace preparing breakfast.

"Good morning babe." He greeted as he noticed me.

I went near him and kissed him.

"You're up early." I told him

"Not as early as you got."

I smiled.

"I am just excited."

"And nervous." He added for me.

"Yeah. Nervous too." I admitted.

He held my face and kissed me.

"You shouldn't be. You're a great nurse. You took care of me remember? Not to mention you're also very passionate."

I just nodded.

"Just trust yourself okay? If anything happens just call me."

"Okay." I said before we started to eat.

We arrived in the hospital around 30 minutes early.

Jace kissed me goodbye and waited me to get in before he left.

I went straight to the nursing office for my orientation and area assignment.

I met Mrs. Payne, the nurse supervisor and said she was tasked to orient me and tell me where I will be assigned.
