Chapter 24 part1

Jace's POV

I kept phasing back and forth as I was constantly checking my phone.

"Why isn't she not calling yet?" I asked myself.

I tried to call Danielle last night to ask her out but instead of her, Krissy answered. I was disappointed but then an idea popped in my mind.

I was spending hours everyday just trying to think of a way where I can make Danielle feel special. Even at my extra time and break time at work, I ask few of my female workmates what they think could make a woman feel special. I have to act double time and exert double effort.

So when that idea popped in my mind, I knew I just have to act on it. I needed Krissy's help to make my plan work.

After what seemed like thousands of years, Krissy finally called.

"Hey yum! Yelli's all set. She's on her way now to the place you asked me."

"Thank you Krissy. And as promised, I'll bring you some lasagna tomorrow." I smiled.

"Yes! Thank you, Yum!" She said excitedly. I chuckled and ended the call.

Okay now, time to go to the second step of the plan.

Krissy asked me to have a double day off, today and tomorrow, to accompany her to go shopping but this morning, after forcing me to dress up (with the dress she chose), fixed my hair and makeup she told me she needed me to meet up someone for her.

"Please Yelli! Please get it for me, then after we could go shopping." She pleaded.

"Why can't we just go there together then go shopping?" I asked.

"But, I don't want to meet that guy. I just needed to get that package from him."

"Huh? Who is he? And what package was that?"

"He was just some admirer of mine. I don't like him and I already told him about that but he is quite persistent. The I needed one thing from Guam and he knew so he volunteered to get it for me."

"Fine, but what will I tell him if he asked where are you?"

"Just tell him I'm not feeling well." She said.

I went to the meeting place and tried to remember the description that Krissy told me.

I walked looking around trying to look for a guy that would fit Krissy's description.

"He'll be wearing a blue long sleeve. He's a yum and you'll just know he is the one because he is a hottie."

"If he was such a hottie then why is she not interested with him?" I asked quietly still roaming the lobby with my eyes.

"Hi miss beautiful." I heard someone greeted me.

I turned and saw Jace smiling at me.

"Jace.." I said. His face is close to me, too close that I could feel his breath on my face. I could smell the familiar vanilla with a hint of mint. That smell... it has been long since I smelled it and I can't deny that I have longed for it.

"Hmm?" He hummed as if teasing me further.

I tried to regained my stance and pushed him a little.

"What are you doing here?" I asked.

He smiled showing off his dimple in his right cheek. I missed that.

"Well, I'm here to get you." He said.
