Chapter 25 part1

I woke up from the smell and soft noises from the kitchen. I got up in bed and went to the bathroom before I walked outside my room.

Then there, across the room, in the kitchen I saw a half naked Jace, wearing an apron, busy cooking.

I approached him while holding my tummy. The smell of his cooking already got me hungry.

He saw me and smiled.

"Do I looked that delicious to make you that hungry?" He asked smirking.

I laughed.

"You wish. What's for breakfast, chef?" I asked

"You'll see, its almost done." He said smiling.

I was nervous how I would deal with Jace this morning especially with what happened last night. But then I am glad he is acting normal, making things easier for us.

Moments later, we finished eating and prepared to enjoy our last hours in the resort. This time, I wore shorts, a tank top and slip on sandals so I could be able to do the activities that we missed yesterday. We did rappelling, zip line, bungee jumping and a whole lot more that when lunch time came, we were dead tired and decided to dine in a cafe.

Afterwards, Jace and I walked around some more with our hands holding on each other.

We passed by a spa and he suggested for us to have a massage.

We were relaxed when we came back to our suite. It was almost time to go so we fixed our stuffs and hit the road.

It was almost midnight when we reached Krissy's apartment. It took us more time since we were taking our time talking and eating during our stop overs.

I grabbed my keys and opened the door for Jace to get inside along with my bags.

Krissy must have already be sleeping so we tried as much as possible to be quiet.

"Thanks. I really had a wonderful time." I told him after he placed my bags inside my room.

"Sure, anything for you, babe." He said and leaned to kiss my cheek.

I smiled as I watch him walk towards the front door.

"Uhh Jace." I called him.

He turned and asked why.

"Uhm. Its already late. I think you should stay here over night." I suggested.

He thought for a second then nods.

"I'll get my bag." He said then walked towards the door.

I went inside my room and grabbed my extra pillow and blanket and placed it on the couch.

Jace got in holding his bag.

"Yes, of course. I'll stay on the couch." He said scratching his head.

I hit his arm and chuckled.

"So will you be needing anything else?" I asked. "That's the only extra pillow I have but if you need more I think another blanket will do the trick."

"No, I'm fine. Other than you, I don't need anything else."

I rolled my eyes and smiled.

"I'll deal with Krissy tomorrow." I said. " Well then, goodnight."

He walked towards me and cupped my cheeks with his both hands and kissed me lightly on the lips.

"Goodnight Danielle." He smiled then went towards the couch.

I nod and quickly went inside my room and locked it. As soon as I was inside, I touched my lips using my fingertips.

"Oh gosh." I murmured.

I felt like I just had my first kiss.

Emotions were rising from my chest, as evidence by my fast and loud heartbeat.

I took a deep breath and went to the shower.

Jason's POV

I've been contacting Dani for the past hour and still she were not answering her phone.

"Damn. Where might she be?"

I dialed again only to be disappointed upon hearing her voicemail.

"Dani, where are you? I've been calling you countless of times and you're making me worried. Call me asap." I said after the beep.

I let out a sigh.

I have planned to go out with her today. I knew she was off since I already passed by the hospital she was working to supposedly surprise her.

I waited for another 15minutes and decided to visit her in her apartment.

I was going to knock when the door suddenly opened and showed Dani's friend.

"Oh! Hot BFF, what are you doing here? You looking for Yelli? She's not here. She's with yummy ex."

What the?! She is with Jace and suddenly forgot how to answer her phone?

"Oh. Uh. Thanks." I said awkwardly.

I was about to turn around when she talked again.

"Are you the one calling her?" She asked. "I forgot to place her phone in her bag so it was left in her room, it was locked so I wasn't able to open and answer it."

"Uh. Yeah. Do you know what time will they be back?"

"Oh, they'll be spending over night there. They'll be back tomorrow night probably."

"Excuse me? Did I heard it right? Overnight?" I looked at her surprised.

"Yep!"

"She didn't even told me about it." I unconsciously said.

"Oh! But Jace surprised her! He asked for my help." She said feeling proud.

"Damn. Jace got Dani's friend to help him."

"I'm sorry to ask, but why did you helped him?"

"Because he asked." She said smiling.

"Oh yeah. Right." I nodded. "Will you help me if I ask help from you?" I asked.

"Sure!"

"Great!"

"But I'll not be here the next day til the third day, I have flight."

"Damn."

"Oh. Okay." I said.

"But when I get back I'll help you. Just make sure you already planned everything, I'll just do a part." She said.

"Yeah." I said feeling down. I bid goodbye and walked away. I don't know but I feel like something bad is gonna happen. As if, I already am hopeless.
