Chapter 31 part1

Jace's POV

The next morning, I woke up. Danielle is sleeping peacefully beside me. I begged her to sleep beside me on bed. The nurse was laughing as how ridiculous I was begging her to sleep beside me.

I caressed her cheeks. I truly and genuinely love this girl.

I heard a soft knock and came in Jayson with a cup of coffee.

"Hey."

"Hey."

Both of us were quiet. We both know we have an issue to settle.

We heard another knock and my parents came in.

I wanted to let Danielle sleep because I know she has been deprived of much lately but I know she will be mad at me for not waking her up. She will be furious to know that I let my parents saw her sleeping beside me on the same bed.

I shook her gently and planted a soft kiss on her cheek.

"Wakey wakey princess." I whispered.

She opened her eyes and smiled.

"Parents are here." I informed her.

She quickly got up and fixed herself. I tried not to laugh but she is too adorable to look at. Her face was bright red as she went straight to the bathroom.

My parents however seemed not to mind. They were talking with Jayson about something, probably about music. Dad has been fond of music since he was young.

"Good morning." Danielle greeted my parents as she walked out of the bathroom. She saw me smirking and gave me a scary glare which made me stop smirking.

"Good morning hija. Have you had your breakfast already? Mind joining us?" My mom asked. I am glad she is back to being sweet to Danielle.

"Uhh. But..." She said glancing at me.

"I'll be fine." I said.

"I'm here." Jayson said.

I looked at Jayson.

"You know I don't take breakfast. I'm fine with coffee." He said gesturing at his cup.

"The boys will be fine hija, you need to eat. Besides, I need to make it up to you." My mom said. I smiled knowing the effort of my mom.

Danielle agreed and they left the room, leaving Jayson and me alone.
