Jace's POV

"Damn." I cursed.

"They were just here awhile ago." I said as I tried to look around the rooftop.

When Danielle said that she'll be going out with Jason, I can't help but get jealous.

The heck? Jason get to have dinner with her even though she's busy while I can't?

There's no way I would just accept it and sit around knowing Jason is moving to get my girl. Danielle is mine. We belong to each other. I know. I can feel. It's still us. I know she still loves me. I know because there's still a spark. That warm feeling that I feel whenever she is near is still there. She also reacts the very same way to my touch. I know. It's still me.

I trust Danielle but not Jason. There's no way I'll have him have Danielle. So here I am, acting as a spy. I followed them and I knew it, they'll have dinner again. And as usual, Jason sang for Danielle.

Same old trick, nothing new. Unlike me, I did variety to impress my Danielle. If Jason and I were friends and not competing against one another, I'll give him advises and new ideas how to impress a girl.

I cautiously walked towards what I thought the spot where they ate. I tried to look for their things but found none.

"Damn. Are they gone already?" I asked myself. I mentally hit myself as I lost them getting distracted by the guard patrolling.

I hurriedly went towards the stairs and went down. I tried to look at the lobby and when I didn't found them I ran outside the building.

"They might be walking home already." I thought.

I ran the way towards Danielle's apartment while I kept looking around trying to find them. I reached Danielle's apartment and knocked but no one answered. I started to get nervous but I tried to relax. Why should I be nervous anyway? I don't trust Jason but I know he will not hurt or let Danielle get hurt.

I walked outside, aiming to go home but I felt strange. I felt uneasy but I don't know why.

I walked and saw the park near Danielle's apartment. I decided to walk at the park to ease whatever tension I am feeling.

I am walking beside the playground when I heard shouting. Out of curiosity, I followed the noise and found a group of guys tackling and hitting a guy on the ground.

I walked away from them as quietly as I can knowing I shouldn't be intruding especially I am alone.

"I'll just go away here as quietly and fast as I can then call the police to help that guy." I thought.

I was a few steps away when I heard the guy shouted.

"Stop! Please!"

I stopped. I know that voice.

I turned and looked at the guy.

"Jason?" I whispered.

Damn it was Jason! I looked around and didn't saw Danielle. I got worried.

Without thinking I shouted.

"Hey! What's in there?" I shouted at them. "Come here! Someone is being hit here! Call officer Spencer! He's in the car!" I shouted at my back as if I was talking to somebody.

The group of guys heard me and ran.

I felt relief. Good thing those idiots weren't thinking that they didn't realized I was not talking to anybody else.

As soon as they were gone I ran towards Jason and saw him totally hit up.

"Jason! Are you alright? Where is Danielle?" I asked him.

"J-Jace. Thank God. D-Dani.. help her. Someone ran after her." He said weakly.

I got tensed.

"Oh sht." I cursed.

"Which way did they go?"

Jason pointed out the way Danielle ran.

I got up and got my phone. I dialed the police hotline and gave it to Jason.

"Talk to the police ask for help. I'll go after Danielle."

He nodded as I turned and ran as fast as I can towards the direction Jason pointed.

"Oh God please. Keep Danielle safe." I prayed.
