I made sure the door is locked this time. My first visitor was unexpected and I guess it turned out okay but I wouldn't take another chance of running in with another unexpected visitor. Who knows? I may ran out of luck.

I stripped my clothes and went to the shower. I need to freshen up. I've decided that I would go out tonight to find a place to have dinner.

"Or if I'm lucky, I may find a 24hour grocery store and do groceries."

I wore a simple shirt and a leather-like leggings and topped it with my coat. It isn't too cold outside but I wouldn't dare the weather. I am basically not used to this.

As I wore my boots I heard a knock from the door.

"Who might that be?"

I peeked through the peek hole and found the guy that I've helped a while ago standing at my door.

I was too preoccupied a while ago that I forgot to ask his name. Come to think of it, I wasn't sure if I even told him my name.

I opened the door and found him standing at my doorstep holding something.

"Yes?" I asked

"Uhm.. Hi. uhm.. You mentioned you haven't done groceries yet so I thought I might share this to you."

I looked to the bag he is holding out to me. I opened it and found a Tupperware inside.

"I cooked pasta.." He said

"You didn't have to."

"I know. You didn't had to help me a while ago neither."

I just smiled at him. I took the Tupperware out and invited him to go inside.

He obliged and followed me as I went in the kitchen.

I pulled out two plates and started preparing the table when he spoke.

"Oh no. I already ate. That is solely for you."

"Oh.. are you sure?" I asked

"Yeah, well.. I made a soup for me. It was easier to eat. I cooked that pasta for you." He said while I returned the other plate into its container.

"You can also have that.." He said pointing in the Tupperware and paper bag.

"Thank you." I said, smiling at him.

At first I doubted if I should eat the food the he offered me but when he asked for a fork and took a mouthful of pasta into his mouth I was kind of relieved. Weird but effective way to convince me.

At least I know this pasta doesn't have poison or sleeping meds in it.

"I knew you were worried so I took a bite." He said after chewing.

I just nod and took myself a bite.

"Wow. This tastes so good. It tasted like the one you can have in a restaurant. I wonder if he's a chef or something." I thought.

"Uhm.. I took culinary arts. Well, my mom convinced me to. She told me she doesn't want her son to be living alone and hungry."

I chuckled.

"As if you can read my mind."

"Well, I just assumed that's what you thought." He said laughing lightly.

"I guess you're right." I said as I nod. I can't seem to stop smiling.

"I'm sorry I guess I missed your name a while ago? My name's Jace by the way." He said offering his hands.
