We stayed in that position for quite sometime. I think I have to agree that both of us needed that closeness again, even though we both know its temporary.
I felt Jace shifted on my back.
"I could stay like this forever babe but I believe we needed to have lunch first." He whispered in my ear.
I nodded. He held my hand as he pulled me inside. Our hands automatically intertwined upon contact. As I've said, it felt natural, its as if it was how we are supposed to hold.
We left my room and walked towards our suite's kitchen.
"I hope it's fine with you if I'll cook for you instead of us going out for lunch." He said.
"No it's okay. I... I missed your cooking." I said looking down. I felt my cheeks heat up, embarrassed by my words.
I felt Jace's finger lift my chin. I met his gaze and saw him smiling. I smiled as I felt him kiss my forehead.
He turned and started to move expertly. He cuts stuffs skillfully. Later, he was able to present a mouthwatering meal, Carbonara, my favorite.
I smiled at him as I helped him prepare the table. He placed the pasta near me and smiled.
I frowned. I knew what he meant by that. He knew how much I love carbonara, especially his carbonara that I will surely ask for another serving.
Aside from the pasta, he prepared roasted chicken and crab and corn soup. He also prepared mashed potato with mushrooms. I don't know what he calls it but for me it is mashed potato with mushrooms.
I went to my seat and excitedly but patiently waited for him. I got annoyed when he was taking the longest time walking across just to seat, he is obviously teasing me.
"Jace." I warned.
He looked at me and chuckled.
"Sorry." He said as he hurriedly sat beside me.
The food that Jace prepared looked really delicious that I can't decide which one to taste first. I knew Jace and I know that these would taste great. I feel like a child who can't decide which candy to choose from the selection.
As if sensing my silent dilemma, Jace sliced a piece of chicken and placed it on my plate. He scooped mashed potato and gave me a serving of the soup.
I smiled at him and uttered a small thanks and began eating. I took a spoonful of that mashed potato thing and took it in my mouth.
"Gosh Jace, you never failed to amaze me with your cooking!" I exclaimed.
Jace smiled.
"Glad you liked it." He said sweetly.
We ate as we talk about random things. After, we decided to go for a walk around the resort to burn the fats I ate. I blame him because he cooked so good that I always gain weight whenever he cooks for me.
I didn't bother to change my dress because it seemed appropriate for the place. Knowing Krissy, she chose this with clear idea where Jace would take me. Jace on the other hand changed into a more appropriate clothes. He changed into a sando and shorts, showing off his good tan.
"Let's go babe before I melt from your staring." He said grinning.
I playfully hit him in his arm which he took as an opportunity to grab my arm to interlock with his.
We walked around the resort and found a lot of fun things to do inside aside of swimming. There is an zip line that crosses across the maze garden. There was also a spa, a jacuzzi, a sauna, bungee jumping, playground and a whole lot more. I regretted not changing for a short because I cannot try the other activities although Jace offered to accompany me back to the suite to change. I don't want to ruin our walk by returning back to the suite.
When our feet grew tired, we decided to hangout in the swing at the playground. We talked and laughed as we enjoy our moment together. For this day, I forgot all about my other worries, what I care about now is Jace and this moments.
Later, the sun settled down and Jace invited me to go back to the suite. As we came back to our suite I was surprised to see rose petals decorated in the dining table. I looked at Jace and he just smiled. He must have planned this.
Jace led me towards my seat them he sat besides me. I was surprised when a waiter served us our foods and drinks. After the tasty dinner, upon Jace's cue a violinist together with another guy came in and then played.
I cannot put into words how surprised I am. Jace stood up and offered his hand to me.
"Can I have this dance?" He asked. I nod and accepted his hand.
Jace led me towards the center of the sala and placed my hands around his neck then placed his around my waist.
We swayed as the other guy, who was actually a singer, started to sing.
