That's why its called a secret

A/N: since the last one didn't contain any steve x reader i thought i would treat you to a double update to make up for it! 

Me and Steve had been dating for quite a while now, but the team didn't know that. I was sat on the quinn jet with nat and clint coming home from a mission "what about jason?" nat asks, I look up from the tablet I was reading off of "what about him?" I ask. "to ask out, I could set you up you know" she explain, I sigh putting down the tablet "no thanks, I'm happy as I am" I say. "and?" she questions "and nothing, clint tell her that I don't need to set up with anyone" I say over to clint who was currently flying the jet "nope, I agree with her" he calls back. I sigh and shake my head "no I don't" , nat sighs in defeat "your just as stubborn as steve, I'm trying to set him up with Sharon but he won't take any of it, hey maybe you two should date" she laughs. I shake my head laughing inside my head, if only she knew.

When we arrive back I make my way to my room so I could shower, a few moments after getting into my room I hear steve knocking on the door. "come in" I call, he pokes his head in a smiles "how was the mission?" he asks shutting the door. I smile and walk over to him "good, quite tired though" I wrap my arms around his neck and he wraps his around my waist. He smiles down at me and kisses me "better?" he asks, "little bit, think I need a bit more" I smirk. He chuckles and begins to kiss me again but for longer and deeper, "wanna head back to my apartment?" he asks resting his forehead on mine. I nod my head "let me have a shower first and I'll meet you over there".

3rd person view

"okay, (Y/N)'s gone now we can discuss it" nat says turning back to face wanda after watching (Y/N) leave, "who are we going to set her up with and how?" she says. Wanda shrugs her shoulders "no idea, what about a Jake? The cute tact guy?" she suggests "he seems like her type", nat nods slightly "what even is her type, the entire time I've known her I haven't seen her with someone, worth a shot though". Tony and thor then walk into the room talking "hey girls, what happening?" tony asks, "trying to set (Y/N) up with someone" wanda tells them, "ha that funny, we're trying to set steve up with someone since he won't take Sharon, but he's having none of it" tony sighs. Nat also sighs "they're both being really difficult about it", tony chuckles slightly "yeah, would probably be easier to set them up with each other" he jokes. Nat thinks on this for a second "tony I can't believe I'm saying this but that a great idea" she smiles, "what?" tony ask confused "it makes scenes they already are really close, they have great chemistry, its perfect. Now how are we going to do it?" she ponders. The other 3 also begin to think of ideas "seven minutes in heaven?" tony suggest, "no" both wanda and nat say "we have to be sly about it" nat continues, "wait I have it, tony you think you could get sam in on this?" nat asks. "probably, why?" tony asks, "okay, so me and wanda will plan for a girls night out, just a meal or something and on the way there we bump into you, sam and steve in central park. We then slowly have to leave, getting them on their own and bam the ship will sail!" she explain. It wasn't the best of plans but it was a plan so it was decided.

(Y/N) POV

"yeah sound like fun, let me change into something more appropriate and we'll go" I say agreeing to the plan nat told me about, going for a girls meal out. Once I was ready I met with nat and wanda by the elevator "so is the taxi outside?" I ask, wanda shakes her head "we thought it would be nice to walk through central park first" she explain. It was a nice night out so I didn't mind walking there, we were just walking through central park when we heard familiar voices. "oh come on capsicle it's so obvious" I hear tony say loudly as they come into view "tony? Sam? Steve? How come you're out tonight?" wanda asks the boys. Steve looks over at me and smiles shrugging his shoulders, "I don't know these guys dragged me out said they wanted to out for a walk, why you guys out?" Steve explain pointing to the two guys beside him. "we're going out for a meal, but decided to walk there instead of drive" I tell him, "very nice, hope you have a nice time" Steve smiles glancing down at his feet. I then here nat and tony's phone go off in their pockets, both of them pull out their phone and look at each other "sorry girls, work calls tony lets go" nats say before dashing off with tony. "still want to go for that meal?" wanda asks, I shrug my shoulders "nah, we can get a pizza delivered" I say. "why don't you guys walk with us?" sam offers, "yeah seems like a good idea" I nod smiling at Steve.

For quite a while the four of us walked around central park together we were just making our way towards one of the bridges when wanda abruptly stops to answer her phone "pietro? Whats wrong? Are you okay?" she says into the phone, we all stop to see what was wrong. "okay I'll make my way back now" wanda says putting down the phone "sorry guys pietro's sick so I need to get back to the tower, sam could you drop me there?" she ask. sam nods his head "I won't be too long you two" he says before walking off with wanda, I raise a brow and look over at Steve how just laughs shaking his head "they couldn't make it more obvious could they?" he sighs. We walk to the top of the bridge and look over onto the lake and just talk "do you think they set all this up so we would date?" Steve asks, I nod my head "well going by the fact I can see the light from tony's suit on the other side of this lake would suggest so" I laugh. The temperature had begun to drop now so I was beginning to feel quite cold, I wrap my arms around myself in an attempt to keep warm. "you cold?" Steve asks and I nod my head in reply, Steve proceeds to wrap his arm around my pulling me closer to share his warmth "want to head back to mine? You could stay the night if you wanted" he offers. I smile up at him "sounds great, can we order pizza?" I ask, "of course" he smiles as we walk off to his apartment together.

When we got there we ordered pizza and just sat on the couch watching tv together, "I wonder where the 4 of them are right now?" Steve say after he finished his last slice. "they probably think it worked since I'm here with you" I say closing the now empty pizza box, " you don't think they're watching us right now?" Steve asks and I shake my head "why do you think they are?" I ask. he nods his head putting a finger to his lips and pointing out one of the windows where I saw the edge of sam's wings' shadow. "should we tell them?" I whisper, Steve just smirks looking at his watch "you realise it's almost midnight right?" he tells me. I nod my head slightly "and that means in 20 minutes time we would have been together for 4 months" he continues and my smile grows "happy 4 month anniversary sweetheart" I say softly "happy 4 month anniversary doll" Steve smiles leaning in. our lips just touch when tony bursts through the door "4 MONTHS, YOU GUYS HAVE BEEN TOGETHER FOR 4 MONTHS!" he exclaims. I jump back from Steve and look up at tony "yeah, we wanted it to be a secret for a bit" I tell him, tony looks at us with his mouth opened "and you didn't tell me?" he ask. I can't help but laugh "that's the whole point of a secret" I laugh looking over at Steve who was trying not to laugh. Tony just stands there shocked to silence, I turn back to Steve "where were we?" I smile he happily returns it "right about here" he smirks placing his lips onto mine.
