Compromised

A/N: here is a request for wolfiehill sorry it took so long, this is definitely my longest one yet and i'm sorry it took so long, if there are any grammar or spelling mistake i'm sorry as i mostly work on stories in the evenings so can be quite tired and miss out mistakes even when editing them hahaha! hope you like it!

Compromised

When I woke up this morning I found the bed empty telling me Steve was still out on his morning run, I glanced over at the clock to see it was 8am. Steve wouldn't be back for another hour or so, so I decided to make breakfast for myself now but leave everything out in case he wanted something when he got back. I quickly jumped into the shower before changing into a simple white top and jeans, I made breakfast and ate while scrolling through my phone. stark had been texting me asking for me and Steve to move back to the tower because now Bruce had gone away he was bored:

From Tony: (Y/N) c'mon please, there is literally everything at the tower!

From (Y/N): No tony, me and Steve moved her so we could continue working closely with SHIELD, Bruce is only away for a little while he'll be back soon

From tony: but I'm bored now!

From (Y/N): Make something then! Do whatever the hell you want because I'm not there to clear it up, just don't do anything stupid

From Tony: that's only a short-term solution, if you guys moved back it would be a long term solution

From (Y/N): No tony, we're not moving back end of, now bye I have more important things to do

From Tony: like what?

From (Y/N): Ignoring you now bye

I put my phone down and get up to put my empty dishes away when I hear my phone go off again "for god's sake stark!" I groan picking up my phone to see what he wanted. However I see that it was in fact a mission for both me and Steve, I smile to myself grabbing my jacket, keys and an apple for steve before heading out of our apartment and to the car. Once I was in the car I texted Steve telling him that I was picking him up, I started up the engine and mentally thank stark for leaning me one of his car as I pull away towards the park.

When I pull up by the park I see him talking to another man, I roll down the window "hey fellas, either one of you know where the Smithsonian is? I'm here to pick up a fossil" I smirk as Steve walks over. "that's hilarious" he sighs walking over, his friend bends down to look into the car as Steve gets is "how you doing?" his friend asks checking me out "hey" I smile, "she's mine" Steve warns lightly "well you can't run everywhere" he smirks. His friend shakes his head "no you can't, nice meeting you Steve's girl" he says, "nice meeting you Steve's running friend" I call just before I pull away. "here you go" I say passing Steve his apple, "thanks doll, sleep well?" he asks, I smile as I glance at him "good, little cold without my human furnace in the morning" I smirk. "well I'll have a lie in tomorrow then" he says with his crooked trademark smile "so who was that?" I ask turning my attention back to the road. "huh? Oh Sam, just met him, was in the army but works down at the VA now" Steve explains in between mouthfuls, "is that how you got talking?" I ask, "no not really, I overtook him a couple of times until I found him by a tree so decided to go over" Steve explains. "oooh look at the big boy making friends" I smirk, "hey!" he complains "I'm joking, I'm joking I love you" I laugh. Steve shakes his head laughing "I love you too, now what is this mission about?" he asks, "uh well I haven't heard a lot just something about pirates and a boat" I explain as we pull up onto the bridge of the triskelion. "I guess we'll find out more when we head out" Steve sighs "we with strike?" he asks, "yeah and Nat is going with us too" I say parking up. "oh nice, despite working with her I actually haven't seen her in a while" Steve says, "well she is a trained spy and assassin what do you expect" I smirk as we walk to the elevator "you know for someone who woke up without their human furnace they seem to be in a very good mood" Steve says resting against the wall of the elevator. "Command centre" I say "what makes you say that?" I smirk, Steve raises a brow at me "because you're being just as sarcastic as stark" he says. I clutch my chest in fake hurt "oh wow now I'm offended, you are going to do something good to make up for that comment" I say, Steve laughs "okay what do I have to do?" he asks smiling. "umm how about a meal out followed by a super comfy movie night afterwards?" I suggest with a smirk "I can do that, how about tonight?" he asks smiling back at me. "oh well I would have to check my calendar but it seems fine to me" I smirk "in the meantime though you can tell stark to stop asking us to move back" I say as the elevator doors open. "let me guess Bruce has gone away for a couple of weeks?" he asks following me out "yup and it's only been 2 days so far since he left and I won't be able to handle 2 weeks of nonstop pestering to come home" I explain. We walk into the main command room and head towards rumlow and one other guy from STRIKE, "rumlow, what's the mission details?" Steve greets "hey cap, we are still collecting the information about the ship but we have to head out as soon as we do" rumlow explains. Steve nods in agreement "okay, we'll suit up ready and meet you in the hanger" he says, "if you see agent Romanoff tell her that too because she hasn't arrived yet" rumlow says as we go to turn away "she probably already knows, knowing her" I tell him before we walk away to suit up.
