I sighed to myself as I found Steve once again in the labs looking at where Bucky was currently frozen. We had been in wakanda for a few months now and out of the ones that were left from the civil war we had been trying to take out hydra bases in secret but it was hard. "Steve?" I say grabbing his attention, "hmm? Oh hey doll you okay?" he asks turning round. "surely I should be asking you that?" I say walking over to him, he sighs to himself shaking his head as he looked down at the floor "no not really" he says. "this being on the run is hard and not being able to help him" he sighs looking over at Bucky, "I know but they're working hard to try and get all of that winter solider stuff out of his head it's just going to take some time" I sigh placing a hand on his arm reassuringly. "I feel real bad too because Clint and Scott have families that they can't go to, I shouldn't have called them in on this it's unfair" he sighs, "Steve they chose to do this, they understood what they were getting into, they only thing we can do now is try and get back to normal, you never know tony may pick up that phone and call us" I reassure him. "it's been 5 months I don't think he'll call anytime soon" Steve says as he walks off, I sigh to myself looking over at Bucky "I do wish you were here to help me with him" I sigh. "hey (Y/N) I've just seen Steve and he didn't look to happy is everything okay?" Sam says walking in, I shake my head "no he's blaming himself for all of this, how were all here and not back home, he doesn't understand that we chose to follow him" I sigh. "yeah I get that, to be honest I think we're all missing home a little bit, tony did have some nice coffee" Sam smirks trying to get me to smile, "he did have some good coffee, I just can't believe this has all happened all over those stupid accords that as far as we know aren't working, I haven't heard or seen any of the others doing any missions since, while we've taken down base after base" I say beginning to pace. "yeah I mean the whole fight with Steve and tony about Bucky that may not have been as bad if they hadn't already been fighting beforehand" Sam agrees. "yeah tony was blinded by the anger he had, he wasn't able to stop and think about how Bucky was brainwashed" I sigh glancing over at Bucky, "just makes me want to go back in time and stop all of this from happening, taking out zemo, showing what goes wrong with the accords" I sigh. suddenly an idea forms in my head "Sam I need you to tell me if this plan is crazy and you can't tell anyone not even Steve" I say turning round to face him, "okay lay it on me" he agrees, I begin to tell him my idea "you're crazy, you'll either get yourself killed or thrown in jail, I don't think Steve can break you out again" Sam says. "I don't think that will happen, I don't think he'll want to do that" I say trying to convince him, "its been 5 months Sam, after everything that's happened I don't think tony is going to be as much as a government monkey as we think" I tell him. Sam sighs to himself "okay but if Steve finds out and tries to kill me for not tell him I will kill you" Sam says agreeing.

I was flying back alone in a quinjet and as I approached the compound I picked up FRIDAYs frequency, "miss (Y/L/N) I regret to inform you if you do not turn back I will have to report you" FRIDAY says, "FRIDAY I just need a minute with stark that's all, don't call the police unless he says to" I tell her. "of course" FRIDAY agrees, as I landed the jet I stepped out and I could see the compound I had missed so much. I was hidden slightly by the trees but as soon as I noticed tony's car pull up I stepped out so he could see me better. As he got out he glanced around until he saw me, he said something to happy before he walked over to me. "what the hell (Y/N) are you crazy? You could get arrested" he hisses, "tony we both know you aren't going to turn me in" I tell him. He sigh knowing I was right "come inside I'm guessing you must have travelled far" he says turning round, "thank you tony" I smile as we head inside. We go straight to his office "how's rhodey?" I ask him trying to start the conversation, "getting there, he's working hard at getting back to normal" tony sighs as he sits down, "why are you here?" he asks getting straight to the point. "because tony we both know this isn't working out, the accords, everything, we are at greater risk of something really bad happening because you guys can't go on a mission to prevent it, and we're unable to because it could risk exposing us" I tell him, tony sighs "I know, yes we haven't been able to go on some missions but ultimately lives are being saved (Y/N), that's why I signed the accords" tony says. "can I tell you something?" I ask, tony just nods his head "when Steve first became captain America he answered to the government, and they sent him on a tour to sell war bonds, they sent him somewhere he didn't want to go, he knew he needed to be on the front line but they wouldn't let him, does this sound familiar to you?" I ask, tony looks at me sadly remembering the discussion when we were first handed the accords. "and do you want to know what happened, Steve defied the government he went and saved the 107th, if he had listened to the government all of those men would have died" I tell him "the safest hands were his own, yes mistakes happen and no we can't save everybody but if we don't spring into action because the government don't think we're needed we are risking so many more lives". I was met with silence "(Y/N) even if I agree with you with the whole accords thing, he still lied about barnes and I don't ever think I could forgive barnes for killing my parents" tony says shaking his head, "Bucky didn't kill your parents" I state making tony look at me confused "I saw the footage (Y/N)" he sighs, "yes you saw the winter solider, a brainwashed assassin who was treated so badly, had had no free will he had no choice, he did not know who he was killing and why, Bucky just got trapped inside, if he was able to Bucky would never have killed any of those people" I tell him. Tony shakes his head "you can't say that, you don't know him" tony says, "no but I know Steve, and if he's willing to go on the run and protect Bucky then I am too, I understand that you and Bucky won't be best pals straight away but you could always help him" I offer. "how could I possible help him? Make him a new arm?" tony scoffs, "no you could come up with something that gets rid of the brainwashing" I suggest. "what do you want me to do (Y/N)?" he asks, "fix all of this, because we both know if something big was going to happen now none of us will be able to stop it if we're divided" I say heading over to the door. Just as I was about to leave "I would speak to Nat before you go, she's missed all of you" tony says quietly, I turn back round "I have a feeling I'll see her soon" I say before walking out back to the jet, leaving the compound once again.
