I'll get you back, I swear

Me and Steve were walking through central park together we had both gone out on our usual lunch break together. "it's been weird not having a mission in a while" I sigh thinking out loud, our last mission was nearly a month ago now, while we had small missions they weren't major and had nothing to do with hydra. "yeah that kinda worries me" Steve admits glancing round the park "it makes me think that hydra is up to something", I sigh and nod my head in agreement "well we should just enjoy the peace and quiet while we have it, and worry about hydra when we need to" I smile. I can see Steve visibly relax at my words as he smirks down at me "you always know what to say", I shrug my shoulders smiling "I guess so, that's what friends are for right?" I say. Steve furrows his brows slightly nodding as he looks straight ahead again "right" he sighs, the change in his demeanour shifts back again quickly "should we head back, we could watch some movies help me catch up some more" he suggests. I raise my brow "movie marathon?" I ask hopefully, he smirks "we can't just watch one movie now can we" he says. "c'mon then let's go" I smile grabbing his hand and running out of the park and back to the tower both of us laughing as we go.

We ended up watching the hunger games movies as Steve had noticed me reading the books a while back and was curious. We were both sat on the same sofa Steve was sat upright while I was lying down with my feet in his lap "wait so this movie ends on that?" Steve asks confused when mockingjay part 1 ends, "yeah its two parts, the next one picks up where it left off" I explain sitting up "how we doing for popcorn?" I ask. Steve shows me the empty bowl "how could we have let it get that low?" I say shaking my head "let me go top it up" I say taking the bowl and standing up. "no it's okay I'll do it" Steve offers standing up to "no its okay I'm already up, I'll do it" I say shaking my head "well I'm up too now so we can both do it" he smirks, I shake my head at him "I'm not going to win this one am i?" I laugh. He shakes his head grinning "nope for once I'm winning" he says grabbing the bowl and walking out to the kitchen. While in the kitchen I also got myself another drink while Steve made some more popcorn in the microwave, "Steve do you want a drink?" I ask not turning to face him "uh yeah just a glass of water please" he ask. "really just water, not juice or soda or anything?" I ask grabbing a glass, "nope just water please" he says I sigh slightly and mutter "don't have to be boring all the time". But with Steve's enhanced hearing he caught it as when I turned round he threw a piece of popcorn at me, "did you really just do that?" I ask slowly putting down the glass of water. He shrugs his shoulders smirking, I raise a brow at him and reach into the popcorn. His eyes follow my movement, I bring the popcorn up to my mouth to fool him and it works as I see his shoulders relax slight. Taking the advantage I throw the handful of popcorn at him, "oh this is war now" Steve laughs, and like his says the popcorn war ensues both of us laughing as we chuck handfuls at each other. Steve was slowly approaching despite my constant fire, once he got close enough he wrapped his arm around me and picked me up and threw me over his shoulder. "Steve put me down this isn't fair" I laugh, "do you admit defeat once again?" he smirks, I sigh defeated "okay I surrender but don't go expecting me to be waving a white flag" I say. He gently puts me down but doesn't remove his hands from my waist and I don't move mine from his chest, silence falls as we both just look into each other's eyes. "Tony is going to kill us when he finds this mess" I say breaking the silence "yeah, maybe we should clear it up" Steve say quietly not breaking the eye contact. I bit my lip slightly and nod my head, and without saying anything else both me and Steve began to lean in. just as our lips are about to touch alarms begin to blare around the tower, we move away from each other "FRIDAY what's going on?" I ask the AI. "emergency mission, sudden and alarming increase of hydra activity in Serbia" Friday responses.

The entire team was fighting against a large amount of hydra agents as we all worked to get in a take out the base, I was fighting next to Steve as during most fights we did end up together due to complementary styles. We had just made our way into the base to find it practically empty with most of the equipment already gone, before we got a chance to move on we hear Sam and Nat both calling for backup "you get Nat I'll get Sam" I say. Steve nods in agreement and we split up to help our team members, when I get to Sam I see that the hydra agents had some new technology that helped them fly and fight in the air. Sam was getting attack from nearly all angles, I start to take on the ground based agents and soon enough we had taken out all of them. The fighting seemed to come to a stop as the others finished off the other agents, Clint had been badly hurt so we were all called to get to the jet as fast as we can. "you guys take off but keep the door open, I'll fly me and (Y/N) up" Sam say walking over to me, I see the jet begin to lift of as Sam grabs hold of me and begins to take off. We were almost to the jet when suddenly a hard force rips me from Sam's hold, when Sam regains his balance he looks around desperately for me but I had already disappeared with the hydra agent that had kidnapped me.
