I yawned as I walked into the lab, I was bored, we seemed to be in a mission slump. Nobody seemed to be doing anything wrong, and it was nice for the 1st week as we just did the usual training, but now is had been a month we were all getting bored of the repetition. When I saw tony he was hunched over a pair of red roller skates "what you up to?" I asked sitting down on the stool next to him, he glances up at me "well you know when everyone is a kid they dream of rocket powered roller skates?" he says continuing to work. "oh god tony please tell me you aren't that bored" I say worried about the outcome of his experimenting, "yes I am, but don't worry these ones will be much better than the ones I made when I was ten" he shrugs. My jaw drops "you made some when you were ten!" I gasp, he nods his head nonchalantly "yeah they didn't really work, it's how I broke my first bone too" he says, I just shake his head at him "well Bruce isn't here to set a broken bone so please don't break one now" I ask. tony laughs "hey if I can make those" he says pointing over to his suits "I can make these" he says, he looks up at me properly and furrows his brows "you okay? you look kinda pale" he say putting down his tools. I nod my head feeling fine, "yeah I'm fine, I think I just need to get a tan that's all" I say shrugging my shoulders, "you sure you aren't ill or anything because I don't want to catch any of it if you are" he say covering his mouth with his hand. "tony I'm fine, I feel as healthy as I can be" I say pulling his hand away from his face, "okay well if I get ill I'm blaming you" he says. "well you won't because I'm fine, now come on finish those things I want to see you use them" I smile, tony raises a brow at me "really I thought you said these were stupid" he says, I shrug my shoulders "I never said they were stupid, and I want to film it when I goes wrong" I laugh. "oh shut up, they won't go wrong, I'm tony stark for Christ sake" tony boasts, "well let me just remind you of Ultron" Steve says walking into the labs. "that was one time and it wasn't fully my fault, seriously you make one murder bot and nobody lets it go" tony exclaims muttering the last part, "hey you alright doll?" Steve smiles walking over and kissing me, "I am now, just waiting for tony to finish these to I can film it going wrong" I say pointing to the skates. "oh that does sound fun, well stark the rest of us were thinking of doing something outside, maybe basketball since there's 10 of us" Steve says, "that sounds fun, plus the whole team will be there to see tony fail" I say glancing over my shoulder at tony. "THEY AREN'T GOING TO FAIL!" tony exclaims "look I'll prove it, I've just finished them" tony says picking them up, "okay I'll get the team and tell them to meet us outside" Steve smile heading out the lab.

When the whole team got outside and was standing on the basketball court tony added to the compound tony strapped on his rocket powered skates. When he stood up he stumbled slightly trying to find his balance, I tried to supress a laugh while he glared at me "okay and now to prove to (Y/N) that these will work, I will not be using any padding at all" he says proudly. The team all nod hesitantly and I lean over to Wanda who was stood next to me "are you going to catch him when he falls?" I whisper, she nods her head "already ready for it" she whispers back. We all watch as tony get ready holding the remote in his hand, he pressed the button and a tiny puff of smoke came out the back. "come on don't let me down now" tony say pressing the button again, when it doesn't work he proceed to hit it harder. After the 10th hit the skates come to life and he goes flying towards the lake, screaming as he went. The team just looked at him in shock as he tried to gain more control over them, "Wanda he's getting closer to the lake" I mutter, she smirks "I know", I glance back over at tony who was now flailing his arms trying to stop himself from crashing into the lake. "Wanda... maybe stop him now" I say glancing at Wanda, "just a little longer" she says, I look back at tony who was only a few feet from the lake and had given up hope and was getting ready for impact. I sense the team tense slightly when he starts to fall in but relax slightly when we see the red energy holding him only a few inches above the surface. I look over at Wanda who was smiling as he held him up and began to move him back to land and towards us, "seriously Wanda you could have said" I say slapping her arm "hey be careful I may drop him" she warns with a smirk. I watch as tony looks back over confused and waits for Wanda to put him down, once close enough he yells "and you couldn't have done that earlier!?". Wanda raises a brow at him and drops him with a thud making his groan "okay I'm sorry" he apologises getting up and stretching his back.
