Now here's something that happens a lot in America, and I don't really approve. Disrespect for someone's tradition or claiming it your own (which is basically the same thing).

Now I get that the U.S is supposed to be a 'melting pot' of different races and cultures, but there's a difference between-

-"I like this tradition/these customs, I'm going to try out what they do." and trying not to be disrespectful or mock it

-mocking the culture or people in that country completely

and

- Weeaboism. This is basically saying you're Japanese because you watch anime/love sushi/whatever, even though there is no Asian blood in you.

I guess this could apply to any other race/culture though, but I'm not sure if there's a word for that.

Ex: "omg!!11!! ate a burrito I found in the back of my fridge!! I'm Mexican now!!"

What you do or like doesn't define your race or heritage. Those are two things you can't choose or change.

And if you're gonna be an asshole to or about a culture, then stop. This group of people have their own ways, the same way you do (somehow doing something that's disrespectful to a tradition/culture on accident is different though, since those weren't your intentions from the start. Hopefully.)

Honestly this isn't that hard to understand, yet we have people thinking its okay to do these things.
