Chapter Seven

“I’m going to get back at you for this.” Jack said darkly, once he got out of the bathroom and plopped down onto the couch. Alex’s prank had worked; even Dylan and Adrian had to admit they got creeped out when they heard ‘killer’ sounds in the kitchen and saw “Jason” coming into their living area.

“Yeah, yeah I know.” Said Alex waving a hand dismissively “Anyways, to make up for being a jerk yesterday I decided I would reintroduce you guys to Emily here” he said gesturing to Emily who was standing next to him; she knew this was going to be interesting “But she already knows us by name so I decided to use the tag lines.” He said with a smirk, Dylan laughed

“Well everybody here knows my tagline is true.” He said airily “I just don’t know about these guys.” Alex rolled his eyes

“Dylan is the smart one,” he explained to Emily, “which I’ll admit is pretty true since he has the highest grade point average when we graduated, he got a –“

“3.5” Dylan finished for him, a smug grin on his face. All of the boys rolled their eyes; Emily guessed Dylan really liked rubbing it in

“Yeah, but it wasn’t enough to get you into the Honor roll.” Jack reminded, this time it was Dylan who rolled his eyes. It was obvious he didn’t like to be reminded of that.

“Moving on,” Alex said loudly before another argument started “Adrian is the shy and quite one, another thing that also applies in real life.”

“The only thing that doesn’t apply is Jack’s.” said Adrian, Emily smirked

“Why? What tagline did the fans give him?” she asked

“The funny one,” Dylan said in a tone as if he what he said was just disgusting; Jack gave him an indignant look “Hey!” he cried “That applies in real life! I’m funny.”

“Yes, but sadly only your face is, Jack.” Said Alex; Jack narrowed his eyes at him

“So, what’s your personal tagline for Jack?” Emily asked, the three boys grinned

“The stupid one.” They said in unison, Jack gave them each a look

“I am not stupid,” he said darkly “I just…. Don’t know some things.” Everyone laughed “Yeah, just keep telling yourself that, bro.” he said as he crashed onto a nearby couch

“So, if Dylan is the smart one, Adrian is the serious one, and Jack is the –“ Emily looked over at Jack before she continued “one who doesn’t know a lot.” Jack smiled at her and gave her a thumbs up, she looked over at Alex and crossed her arms “Then who are you?” Jack, Adrian and Dylan snorted

“The sensitive one,” they all said in unison, all of them even doing air quotes with their fingers. Alex just smirked and put his hands behind his head “What can I say?” he said with a yawn “Our fans our pretty smart.” Emily looked over to the other guys, one of her eyebrows raised

“So, does it apply in real life?” she asked, the three boys exchanged looks; they looked a bit annoyed “In a way,” Dylan said in a tone as if he hated to admit it “It’s true.”

“Really?” Emily said, quite impressed “How is it true?” she said, taking a seat

“Well for one, he writes all our songs.” Adrian pointed out, Jack who was beside him nodded in agreement “Yeah and it’s all inspire by one girl.” He said with a smirk, Dylan grinned and nodded too “And they’re all dedicated to one girl. The mushy, sappy, corny ones at least.”
