Ariel bobbed and weaved through the crowd to try and get to math class before the bell rang.

"I'm here, I'm here!" She yelled as she burst through the door.

Earlier this morning
"Eughfr...eughfr...EUGHFRRR! Giselle please turn the alarm off-, Giselle?" Ariel woke up.

Giselle had left a note on her desk table.

Ariel, hope you woke up in time to get some breakfast in the caf! Might wanna take some granola just in case.

"Why didn't she wake me up!!" Ariel yelled. "Wait...if that's my late alarm...oh my sharks, it's 6:40! Ugh, I going to have to skip singing in the shower if I'm going to make it to class in 20 minutes!"

Present
"By the way, I did not, get any food in the cafeteria." Ariel pouted as she sat next to Giselle.

"You slept right through your alarm Ariel. Swimming practice must've really worn you out yesterday evening."

"No duh. Coach made Eric team captain, and in my opinion, he works us too hard. I mean, I know we have a competition coming up but-"

"Ms. Ariel, if you could be quiet, that would help my lesson." Mr. Cogsworth said.

"Sorry, Mr. Cogsworth." Ariel smiled.

Giselle whispered, "I find Eric super cute. If you won't go for him, I will."

"He's all yours." Ariel giggled, because she had no interest in Eric, whatsoever.

Or so she thought.

Tiger Lily was wide awake. Mr. Gipetto's carpentry class was her favorite.

"Why do you like this class so much? I don't see what's so great." Her roommate Lilo said next to her.

"I don't know. I just do." Tiger Lily shrugged.

"You make such great wooden dolls, that's probably why." Wendy Darling said.

"Thanks Wendy!"

Lilo didn't like how Wendy was so nice to Tiger Lily. She usually only hangs out with Alice, Peter, and Tinkerbell. Nobody else. Sometimes Lilo felt like Wendy was trying to one up her.

"Yeah, they're really amazing Lily."

"Thanks Lilo." Tiger Lily beamed.

Violet had just escaped from Ms. Edna's fashion class. Where you learn how to sew, stitch, and all those other things Violet has no interest in.

"Violet! Why are you running?" Ariel, one of the kindest first years, asked her.

Violet was one of the youths. It made her feel small.

"Just wanted to get to the assembly on time." She mumbled.

"Violet, it's the first week of 2nd term. We all know the assemblies are always 5 minutes late." Ariel laughed her bubbly laugh.

Ariel was so pretty and perfect. Each youth was assigned to one of the students in the college. Violet was grateful she was given the sweet and kind Ariel, but the girl intimidated Violet.

Well, a lot of people do.

"Well hello students!" Vice principal Goofy chuckled.

"Good morning Mr. Goofy." The students chorused.

"Welcome back to school for second term. But let's skip the small talk, competition season is coming up!"

The entire hall roared.

The first years or new students had no idea what competition season was. Like Ariel. She was a first year. Even though she had some friends that were older, nobody had told her about this.

"This year, who's the team to beat?" Goofy yelled into the mic.

"DREAMWORKS!" Everyone yelled back.

Ariel couldn't even ask Giselle because she was a first year too.

"I guess we compete?" Ariel shrugged.

"That'd be so cool! I love competitions!" Giselle squealed.

"There is also something quite new coming up. We'll let Ms. Mode explain it to you." Goofy sat down.

Edna Mode placed the step stool in front of the podium. She lowered the mic.

"Hello students. You do not know this, but we are entering the Florida film festival."

"Oh my gosh a movie!!!" A student squealed.

"Yes. A movie entirely left up to the students."

"Eh, I'm not that interested in a movie." A guy whispered to his friend.

A movie? Competitions? Ariel was already excited and it was only the first week of second term.

"Oh my goodness, Ariel." Jasmine strutted over to her friend.

"Hey Jasmine, what is it?" Ariel asked.

"We saw this girl who looks identical to you from the back. It's almost as creepy as finding that rat making food in the cafeteria."

"That was just Remy, he's friendly." Ariel pointed out.

"Yeah, yeah, but Cindy doesn't know yet, and is there anything Cindy doesn't know?"

Ariel eyed her second year friend. She seemed to really admire Cinderella.

"Mhm." Ariel murmured, not concentrating.

"I also cooked flounder for lunch." Jasmine said, wanting to see if Ariel would notice.

"That's great..."

"Ariel! You're not listening to me!"

"Sorry Jasmine I was daydreaming." Ariel sighed. "Can't be late for lunch, need to get that energy." And Ariel took off.
