"Did we do this last year?" Jasmine asked Aladdin.

"If we did I don't remember." Aladdin shrugged.

"So we're learning each other's strategies to figure out how to beat them?" Merida said unsurely.

"Exactly. Afraid of a little competition, redhead?" Astrid smirked, coming up behind Merida.

"Ooh no, not at all. After all, I'd hardly can your puny little boyfriend competition." Merida snorted.

"Oh, but this is where you're wrong. It's not him you're facing this year, it's me."

That caught Merida off guard. She knew none of this girl's tactics. How was she going to beat her?

Maybe this is why they're doin' this.

Astrid laughed and said, "see you in the range."

"Dude, are you sure you want to do horse riding instead of archery this year?" Jack asked.

"Of course. It can't be that different from riding a dragon right?" Hiccup said.

"That is the stupidest thing that has come out of your mouth, Haddock." Said Bunnymund.

"Merida will probably crush you. She is very good at this." Tooth warned.

"I've been practicing, don't worry." Hiccup waved them off.

"It's gone! It can't be gone! Help me find it Wilbur!" Hiro yelled.

"You know, it'd be a lot easier to find if you tell me what it is." Wilbur rolled his eyes.

"Uh...it's a substance."

"A what?"

"Wilbur, advanced brain or not, you should know this if you passed grade seven."

"Whatever. Explain."

"See this?" Hiro held up a circular plastic container. "It had a substance in it. I was kinda just playing around with chemicals-"

"I'm smart enough to know that chemicals aren't really something you should be playing around with." Wilbur said.

"I know okay! I was just messing around, and I would test it on different things. Like maybe if it could burn wood, or soften metal."

"Does this story ever come to a point?"

"Yes! The container is empty and I don't know where the substance is or what it does."

"So are you saying the school could collapse just because some thinga majiga leaked?"

"...yes."

"Well then, better start packing my bags-"

"Wilbur! You've got to help me! Please?"

Wilbur sighed. "Fine."

Merida vowed she would not stop practicing before Astrid did. Her stomach did not agree with that idea.

Her stomach gave a low growl.

"Want some food Merida? I'm sure there's some in the cafeteria. Heard they're serving danish pastries as dessert."

Merida was not going to give in to Astrid's silly mind games. Merida was sure Mulan would save her a pastry if they were actually serving any.

"That's nice. Hope they enjoy 'em." Merida focused on her target.

Astrid's brows knit together with concentration as she aimed for her target too.

They both released at the same time and hit bullseye.

"Not bad." Astrid said.

"Thank you, you're not bad either."

"Actually I was talking to myself, but yeah, you did pretty good."

"Pretty good? I got as many bullseyes as you did!" Merida said with her thick Scottish accent.

Astrid laughed. "Right."

"Yes I did!" Merida whacked her with her bow.

Astrid hit back, and soon their bows were clashing against each other's, the girls laughing while fighting.

Tiger Lily walked onto the range, surprised to see a DreamWorks student and Disney student getting along.

"Oh, hello Tiger." Merida said.

Merida and Mulan were the only people who called Tiger Lily 'Tiger'. Everyone else just stuck with Lily or called her by her full name, but they said Tiger.

"Hi Merida. I thought you were alone. Well, Mulan wanted me to give you this." She handed over a wrapped up danish pastry.

"Ooh! Tell Mulan she's the greatest!" Merida said, taking the pastry.

Tiger Lily smiled and walked off.

So they had missed dinner. Merida didn't know how long they'd been at the range. It was getting darker, and it was probably past eight.

"Here, you can take a little. We both missed dinner didn't we." Merida offered some of her pastry.

"Or did we?" Astrid smiled.

"Uh...yes, we did." Merida said.

"I'm sure if we run there could be some food left."

"Okay then. Practice officially ends?" Merida stuck her hand out for a handshake.

"Officially ended." Astrid took her hand and shook it firmly.
