Being a first year was hard. It's like they piled up so much work then throw it on you to see how strong you are.

Andy can handle it, Andy's strong.

"Are there any other boys in first year except for me?" Andy asked Philip, a third year.

"Well I mean there was Tadashi...but..." Philip didn't need to finish the sentence for Andy to know what he was talking about.

Tadashi was one of his closest friends. When Philip saw the sad look on his face, he felt bad.

"There's Fred. And Wasabi. Those are some boys. Guess there's a lot of girls in first year." He said, changing the subject.

"Most are in third year aren't they?" Andy said.

Philip nodded. "By the way, if...'the incident' gets to you...like, really bad, maybe you should see the school counsellor."

"Thanks dude." Andy told him, glad somebody was looking out for him.

At the college, Tadashi had become friends with Honey Lemon, GoGo, Wasabi and Fred. But they hadn't known Tadashi like he had.

They had been playing together ever since they were kids. Woody would be his favorite toy, and Tadashi liked Mr. Potato head.

Andy sighed at the memories. He promised he wouldn't think about it. He promised he won't slink into sadness like he did when he thought about it. He promised that he'd try not to think of the ways it could've been prevented. He sat down on one of the benches and put his head in his hands.

"Heyyyy. You look sad. Want to talk about it? Hm...maybe this can go down as detention hours." A pretty fairy with her brown hair in a big braid fluttered up to him.

"Detention hours?" Andy repeated.

"Yeah...I made the wrong experiment cause I wanted to see what a baby griffin would look like, but instead I made a mutant griffin and well...I think you can see that going downhill. Anyway, what's wrong?" She asked again.

"Uh...i-it's nothing." He turned away so she wouldn't see the tears forming in the corner of his eyes.

"Fine, I guess you wouldn't want to talk to a stranger. My name is Fawn, and your name is?" She held out her hand.

Andy was seriously considering just walking away and leaving her alone, but he turned around.

"Andy." He shook her hand.

Fawn could see a tear roll down his cheek but Andy wiped it away.

"So..." Fawn puffed out her cheeks and rocked back and forth.

"Oh. Uh...it's just that...I'm going through a hard time. And being away from family isn't really helping." Andy said, trying to avoid saying the actual words.

"Oh there's a solution to that!" Fawn smiled. "Make this place your home! Make us your family!"

Andy shrugged and raked through his hair.

"Maybe if you told me the actual situation, it'd be better." Fawn sat beside him again.

Andy sighed. "Do you...um, know who Tadashi is?"

Fawn was slowly starting to realize what this was leading to. "Y-yeah. I kno-... knew, him."

"He..." Andy swallowed, "happened to be my best friend."

"Oh." Fawn threw her arms around him. "Andy I'm so sorry, I shouldn't have forced you to-"

"N-no it's fine." Andy said, a bit uncomfortable with Fawn's arms around him. "I needed to talk about it to someone."

"Well...if you ever need someone to talk to, I'll be there."

Andy smiled, just a little.

"Oof, I gotta go, I'll be late for whatever it is with Fairy Mary." She waved and flew off.

Andy watched her stop and help an injured bird before returning to what she was doing.

She had a kind heart, that Fawn.

Okay first, this was pretty short, sorry about that. But sometimes shorter is sweeter kay? And second, I know some of you know where I'm going with this, and...and...JUST DON'T RUIN MY ARTISTIC VISION! Just pointing it out, Fawn is a second year.
