Chapter 65~ An Odd Date

"Wow, this is the first time I'm really noticing the absence of Isabel and Alice," Eilonwy said as she sat down in the cafeteria with only Taran.

Taran nodded. "Hopefully things won't get boring without them around."

Eilonwy gave a fake pout. "Are you saying I'm boring?"

Taran laughed and shoved a potato in his mouth.

"Maybe this is a sign saying I should expand my circle, I only have three friends."

"Three is enough Eilonwy, besides you should be happy you get an entire week with just me."

A blush tinted Eilonwy's cheeks, but she played it off.

"That's exactly why I'm trying to find new friends! A week with you will definitely drive me crazy."

"Crazy with love!"

Mowgli kept mostly to himself. He was an adventurous spirit, thanks to all the books he'd been reading lately, and when he found out about Jim's map, he wanted in.

He wasn't exactly sure what he was signing up for, but he knew it was adventure! All he needed now, was for Jim to let him in.

He let that Merida girl in I'm pretty sure... Mowgli thought to himself.

Maybe if he could win over the curly redhead, it'd be easier for Jim to accept him.

Mowgli was running this master plan through his head over dinner. He didn't even notice when Christopher Robin had set down a tray.

"Oh, hi Chris. Where's Arthur and Peter?"

Christopher took a spoonful of his soup. "I don't know actually. I was too hungry to bother looking for them."

"Hm."

Mowgli found it interesting that Christopher was so willing to eat with him. As mentioned before, Mowgli kept to himself, and had only spoken to Christopher at different times on different occasions.

"They're probably busy. It's okay if I sit here, right?"

Mowgli watched Christopher pull a book out of his bag and take another spoon of soup. He was going to stay anyway.

"Sure, no problem."

Lucinda met up with Lily and Indigo in the courtyard.

"Okay Indigo, I think it's about time you go on that date with Wendell and find out what you can about that cheater," Lucinda said.

"Ew, I forgot I agreed to that."

"Is this really necessary Lucinda? I mean the competition is over, and they've probably already used their money so there's no point."

Indigo smirked. "Lily's just jealous I'm going out with her ex."

"Lily of course it's necessary! Cheaters need to be exposed! Especially if we were the true winners!"

Lily saw the energy in Lucinda's eyes and knew there was no stopping her. She sighed.

"I didn't even collect this guy's number! Lily, you have it right?" Indigo asked.

"Yes."

"Good! This is all good! Indigo, you call Wendell, and try to get him to talk about who hired him to hex!"

"But Indigo doesn't need Wendell if we already have proof from Wendell that he hexed a USB," Lily protested.

"Mm. No. It could have been any USB. Once we find out who hired Wendell, we can interrogate them. Do you...have a problem with this Lily? I thought you didn't like Wendell anymore."
