Belle felt a twinge of guilt that she couldn't make it to rehearsal. But she didn't mess around when it came to studying.

Belle thought that she could concentrate in the library, but that all changed when the jocks walked in.

The worst one was probably Adam. Belle didn't know him, but he was loud. He played football, and he was so quick that the jocks call him 'the beast'. His laughter also sounded like a roar sometimes.

"Oh my goodness this is a library!" Belle complained to nobody in particular.

She looked over and contemplated going over and telling them to quiet down. But they probably wouldn't hear Belle over their loud voices anyway.

"Passed it down to Philip, and he went straight in for it."

Belle ignored their sports chatter, and tried to focus on her algebra.

"So, did you get any studying done?" Jasmine asked.

"Hardly anything. Gaston was so loud. So was Adam!"

"Gaston, the guy that has the hots for you?" Jasmine smirked.

"Please don't."

Gaston loved to annoy Belle all the time about being his girlfriend. Belle didn't understand. There were three girls, ready to fight for him, yet he still continued to aim for Belle.

"I'm very tired. Singing wears me out." Jasmine yawned.

"Well, dinner is soon, I'm sure after you eat something you'll feel energized." Belle said.

Belle was sitting on a bench with a lovely fountain behind it. The sun was setting and the view looked beautiful. She was reading a book, and was very comfortable. That was until she spotted somebody making their way over to her.

Gaston.

He was like a pesky fly Belle couldn't get rid of. Maybe she needed pesticides...

"Good evening Belle! How would you like to spend the rest of it with me?"

"I'd rather not, Gaston. I was enjoying a really good book."

"Book?"

"Yes Gaston. They have words in them, which you read and words are formed with lette-"

"I know what a book is. I'm saying, why would you blow off an evening with me for a book?"

"I'd blow off an evening with you to watch paint dry." Belle scoffed.

Gaston gave a low, hearty, laugh. Belle was so hard to get. Did she not realize that he could be with any girl he wished, and he wanted her.

Belle managed to rip her eyes away from her book and look at her phone.

"Hm...I'll do it tomorrow." She murmured to herself.

"Do what?" Gaston asked.

"If you were taking part in the film festival, you would have a pretty good idea if I explained it, but there's no point." Belle sighed and walked off to her dorm.

You don't get a moment's peace with Gaston around.

◈▣◈

It was Sunday morning, and Belle was still asleep. Charlotte had left early with Tiana to go to church, and Belle was alone.

Lottie was very talkative, which saved Belle from doing the talking most of the time.

Belle had work to do anyway. Anna, Elsa's sister, had texted her last night to find out if any of the youth boys could sing.

"I seriously doubt it, but it wouldn't hurt to try." Belle muttered.

◈▣◈

"Okay first, Wilbur Robinson."

"Nuh uh. I don't do singing." Wilbur said.

"And I don't do stubborn little boys, but yet, here I am." Belle sighed. She was really cranky this morning.

"But I can't sing!" He spluttered. Then he made his voice a low whisper so only Belle could hear. "Maybe I'd joke with some of my pals but in front of the girls?"

"You have pals? Can they sing? I have no time for this." Belle munched on a sandwich she grabbed from the cafeteria.

Wilbur glared at her.

"C'mon Wilbur, sing." Zandar chuckled.

"Oh my goodness." Belle massaged her temples. "Sing something. Anything. 'Twinkle twinkle little star' for all I care!"

"Hey you know who's great at singing? Taran. He's great at it."

A snort escaped from Isabel and Alice. Taran glared at them.

"Are you?" Belle silently pleaded.

"I'm decent, I guess." Taran shrugged.

He sang a little bit of 'Beauty and the Beast'.

"Wow. I didn't know he sang that well." Eilonwy gawked.

"He does, but he hates singing in front of people." Alice said.

"Yeah. We always say he should do competitions, but he says he sings for us and only us." Isabel shrugged.

"Well that was the best sound I've ever heard come from a boy's mouth." Eilonwy smiled.

"Finally! I found one! Okay so what was your name? Taran. Got it." Belle ticked off one box then looked up. "I need another one."

Everyone groaned.
