Chapter 47

*Carries pov*

"Common Tom" I whisper wrapping his arm around my neck as I helped him out the car. It had taken a while to get him back, he attempted to jump into Charlottes car when she went to pick up lily and Danny. Evie and Dougie helped me get Tom in his car in the first place.

Tom just moaned as a response and slowly leant out the car, we eventually made it to the front door. I immediately took him upstairs and tucked him into bed, he was exhausted from the drama; and need to sleep the hangover off.

As I flicked the light switch off I hear a faint meow coming from my room/the spare room, slowly pushing the door I see Oli perched on the windowsill looking out of the window.

"You better hide before Tom sees you, he'll cry if he does" I say striding towards him, he just continues to look out the window into the darkness. Soon enough he hops down and walks out the room, I lightly chuckle before picking up my phone from the desk. I hadn't taken it with me, but I saw a message from Lily sitting there:

"Take care of Oli please.. Either me or Danny will pick him and the rest of my stuff up tomorrow.. night x"

I instantly knew lily had made up her mind.. her and Tom were over..

*Toms pov*

A long sleepless night, I couldn't stop thinking about lily. what she was doing at that second, how she was feeling, if she would ever forgive me..

I groggily get out of bed and change into sweat pants and a black Star Wars tshirt. A waft of coffee filled my nose as I stepped into the kitchen, Carrie was stood at the toaster putting bread in and drinking out her mug,

"Morning Tom, how you feeling?" Carrie asks handing me a mug of coffee,

"Awful.. Hangovers doing my head in, but at least I get to have my lily back" I gently smile, I knew I'd get her back; we were made for each other! Carrie just sarcastically smiles,

"You ready to get your mummy back" I say to Oli who hoped onto my knee, Carrie quickly looked away.. she knew something about lily..

"Carrie? what's up?" I question pulling her arm so she's facing me,

"Nothing.. nothings up" she smiles, obviously a forced one,

"Carrie, I know when something is up! Is it something to do with lily?" I state tightening my grip and standing up,

"No, Tom nothing's up. I promise!"

"Okay.." i reply, sitting back down,

"Danny said you can go over in a hour to talk to lily.." Carrie said going back to the toaster. I nod before moving into the living room.

"Tom? You going over to Dannys?" Carrie asks as her head comes around the corner of my bedroom door,

"Yep" I reply popping the p.

I rush over to Dannys house, so excited to see lily again, I need to talk to her.

"Lilys upstairs in the guest room" Danny instructs after he lets me in.

I slowly walk up, taking a deep breath before opening the door. Lily was sat there on the bed, her phone in her hands but she was just staring out the window. As I walk in she turns, I couldn't help but smile just knowing that she was okay, but lily just looks at me; no expression at all.

"Lily, I'm so sorry!" I announce practically running to her, I so badly wanted to kiss her. I collapsed on the bed and went in for her lips, but she quickly looked away and I got her cheek.

"Lil?" I say, disappointed..

"Tom, what happened last night?" She asks, a slight croak in her voice,

"When you left me alone to get us some water my ex girlfriend, Amelia, came up to me and started talking to me again. She started being all flirty with me, stroking my knee, playing with my hair.. then she pounced on me.. I didn't think of stopping at first, I thought back to the times when we were together and what usually came after us kissing.."

"What, sex?" Lily states, tears building up in her eyes,

"Yes.. but I soon came to my senses! I pushed her off me as soon as I could!"

"But you didn't.. you should have pushed her off as soon as she started flirting with you!" Lily announces, she was obviously getting a little annoyed,

"Babe please believe me! I was drunk, you know that! I didn't want it to happen..." I say, reaching for Lilys hands

"I want to believe you.. but I can't..." She replies taking her hands away,

"What.. what are you saying?"

"I.. I need some time.. time to think.." she stuttered,

"Come back to mine, stay for the weekend! You'll have all the time you need to think!"

"No Tom. I think we should have some time apart.."

"Are we breaking up?" I croak, my heart felt like it was just about ready to explode, I was holding back tears as best I could..

"If you want to think of it like that.. yeah, or you could say; we're on pause..?" Lily replies. She slowly stands up, gently kisses my forehead before walking towards the door, "Danny said he'll pick up Oli and the rest of my stuff later.. Goodbye Tom.." She whispers closing the door behind her.

The pain was too strong within me, the waterfall of tears erupted, I fell face-first onto the bed. The stabbing in my heart got stronger each whimper I made. I hear the front door open and slam shut, quiet foot steps began to come up the stairs and towards the room I was weeping in,

"Oh Tom.." Carries voice trailed off, she ran over to me and picked my head up of the bed and rested it on her shoulder. It was comforting, her warm embrace calmed me slightly.

"We.. we broke up.." I cried into her shoulder, more tears fell as I spoke,

"I know.. I'm here Tom, just let it all out" She replies, slowly starting to rock me.

I feel as if I've lost My soul,
