it's not unnatural for an angsty teen like joshua to take several naps during the week, that's something the newly accustomed french boy had to learn. usually tyler would be bouncy and hopeful, like a happy six year old at a private carnival. however, he soon realized that it's okay to sit down and relax for a couple of minutes, or hours.

this was something he was actually happy to have learned. tyler understood that he doesn't have to keep his bubbly persona up for ages, he's allowed to step out of the spotlight for a little bit and look back at all he's done.

the small burnette sat calmly criss crossed on the opposite bed from joshua's, his eyes gazing towards his sleeping figure. he began to wonder about what spectacular american things they'll be doing in the future, as if he hasn't learned enough already. tyler smiled contently and absentmindedly began to hum to himself while slumping his back on the wall behind him.

it wasn't long before he picked up his most prize possession and began to strum calmly at the strings near his fingertips.

"les hommes sages disent,"

he began to sing, almost considered a whisper yet filled to the brim with serenity. and his eyes would peek ever so slightly at the boy that lay across from him. tyler thought it was very difficult not to stare at such a gentleman.

oh come on, you think tyler told josh he was gay for nothing?

"seul les fous s'y précipitent"

josh's senses soon came alive once he heard a truly incredible voice from across the room. his eyes still lay shut, wanting just to hear the boy sing more and more until josh went deaf. the tune was sung from the now quiet boy, leaving the opposite to think about how wonderful it is that he has the privilege to welcome such a boy into his home.

"joshua? you're awake?"

a groan was heard from the previous napping boy, wondering how the hell tyler knew he was awake.

"how did you know?" he grumbled, beneath the comfort of his pillow that muffled his voice softly.

"nobody smiles like that in their sleep"

"oh,

i was smiling?"

"yes, joshua"

josh sat up tiredly and rubbed his eyes, really just an excuse to hide his low blush that ran past his cheeks.

"sorry you were just - singing and i thought you sounded um-"

"there's nothing wrong with complimenting another boy joshua" tyler said while propping his chin on a fist and staring at the flustered boy.

"yeah i know! i just thought you sang - really beautif-"
