"Asking Alexandria broke up?!"

"Why did they break up?"

"I heard that they couldn't find a singer after they kicked Denis out, so they decided to just call it quits."

"It's because of Arabella isn't it?"

The halls were filled with questions, people dying to have their needy questions answered.

It's true, Asking Alexandria broke up. After I left the diner on Friday, the boys decided that it was best to end it. James tried to convince them that staying together was the best option, but it was no use, their minds were made up.

"Arabella! Do you know what happened? Did they break up because they couldn't find a new singer? Did they break up because of you? Did the-"

"They did not break up because of me, I had nothing to do with their breaking up. They decided to break up because their singer has huge commitment issues and can't let anyone in and help him get better!" I yell at the girl, causing everyone to look. "They broke up because they weren't a band anymore. Stop asking. Please."

I walk past her, walking down the hall, ignoring everyone's stares and whispers.

"Denis has commitment issues?"

"Is that why her and Denis broke up?"

"He needs help? What's wrong with him?"

I shake my head, walking into my mother's office and slamming the door behind me.

"Arabella what the hell?!" Someone asks, causing the conversation at the table to end.

I look up, seeing Denis standing at our table in the cafeteria, glaring harshly at me.

"Huge commitment issues? Can't let anyone in? Help him get better? Seriously what the fuck!" Denis yells, drawing attention.

"I didn't mean to say that." I say.

"Really!? Because thanks to you, everyone thinks something is wrong with me! Is this your way of getting back at me for breaking up with you?!" He asks, hitting a nerve.

"You think I'm trying to get back at you?!" I ask, standing up. "I would never swoop down that low, to get back at you for ending a relationship. If that's what you think, then you don't know me."

"Why would you say those things?!"

"Because they're true Denis! You do have commitment issues! Once things go good for you, you do something to wreck it! You don't think you deserve to be happy, to have good in your life! You push people away when they get too close, because you don't want to get hurt even more! You're hurting on the inside and you won't tell anyone why!" I explain.

Denis takes a step back, balling up his fists.

"You don't know what you're talking about." He says slowly.

"No I do. You just don't want people to know." I say, walking over to him.

I cup him face, rubbing my thumb on his cheek.

"Talk to me. Please. I'm not going to hurt you." I whisper.

"You already have." He says, removing my hands from his cheeks.

He walks out of the cafeteria, leaving me there. Slowly, people return back to what they were doing.

You already have.

lol do people even read this story anymore? i used to get over one hundred reads a chapter whenever i would update. now i'm lucky to even get 50 reads on a chapter.

i know it's probably because i updated really slow, but it was because of lack of ideas, school, and stress. but i'm back now, not as stressed, not in school, and starting to get more ideas that'll lead up to the last chapter.

last chapter is graduation btw
