Getting the letter in the mail from California's Volleyball Academy brought happiness to my eyes, but an even bigger smile when I was accepted. It's my summer before my senior year and I was glad to be spending it playing volleyball day and night.
Even though I was leaving my friends and family behind, I knew this was going to be the best summer yet. Well that was until I found out that the camp was going to be allowing guys come. Now I knew that my summer couldn't be getting worse. Well I spoke to soon..
Corey Hampton.
My older sister was dragging me to summer camp. It may sound so babish of me, but it was a Volleyball Academy. Just this year they were allowing guys to come to camp and play. I was excited that a camp finally let guys in, but going with my sister? Come on.
But with the amount of girls that would be going, I knew that this was my summer to hook up. Maybe coming with my sister wont be bad after all.

When my mother told me that I got accepted to go to California's Volleyball Academy I couldn't stop screaming. But when she told me that my brother was going as well, I froze and just about fainted.
Yes I may be the older sister, but I was only older by a year and everyone liked Corey more. I figured this was a way to get away from everyone who never saw me and saw him. But now that he's tagging along, my world is going to crash down.
Keith Brisbane.
My dad finally gave into the idea of letting guys enter into the Academy. You see, my parents both own the California's Volleyball Academy. After years of my three sisters coming and going through this camp, I'm the youngest child of the family, but the most passionate kid about volleyball.
I know that I will show everyone how Keith Brisbane is a great team leader, great player, and show how much volleyball means to me. And no one or anyone will get in the way of that. I am sure of it.
Kaelee Lang.
Since volleyball is the only sport I'm actually good in, my parents are making me go to it so I can get a scholarship to college. Since I have a few friends tagging along, I don't really mind. But when I heard that there was going to be guys attending, my summer just got a lot better.
Summer camp is all about fun, right?
Noah Hector.
I've always been a shy guy who's invisble and no one ever sees. Yeah, volleyball is my thing, but everyone I went to school with teased me because of it. But since I was accepted into a Volleyball Academy I wasn't going to let any get to me. Not this time.
I Noah Hector was going to be noticed and people will see that I am a great volleyball player. No more shy guy. No more being awkward. I knew that this was the summer of possibilities.
