The night air was cool and the wind softly stroked her hair against her cheek. The night felt peaceful as she opened her mouth and took a deep breath of the sweet air floating around her. She started walking down the hill, her ears no longer ringing as the music disappeared into the air. Aly would stay in there, dancing till her knees gave way and leave her pressed up against her boyfriend Chad. A laugh sliced through the still air, she hadn't realised it had come out of her mouth.

'Are you okay?' A gruff voice from behind her spoke.

She spun around, a tall, broad guy stood, silhouetted from the bright lights of the house. He walked closer and stood alongside her.

'Oh, hi.' She mumbled.

He just smiled and she looked away, hoping he wouldn't see the blush creeping up her face. She glanced up at him and saw his face in the light, he was gorgeous, almost every girls dream guy. He was tall, with dark brown hair that feel over his face, brushing against his cheek. His rich brown eyes that almost looked through her and she could feel your heart beating against her rib cage, as if he knew. His black T-shirt was stretched tight across the muscles rippling in his arms and chest. His jeans strained against his legs, trying to keep his muscles contained. It just made him all the more irresistible. She looked at him again, expecting him to disappear into mist but there he was, standing beside her.

She opened and closed her mouth, willing the words to come out. 'I'm fine. I just needed to get away from the music.' She stumbled through her words, willing her brain to function.

He started to laugh. 'Yeah, I don't understand why they need to have it up so high.'

She joined him in his laughter. 'Maybe it's because they have nothing worthwhile to say.'

His head jerked up, hearing something, his eyes stared holes into the glass doors leading back inside.

'Are you okay?' She asked, mimicking his initial words

He turned back towards her for a second, remembering he had company. 'I have to go.' He ran back up the hill, heading towards those glass doors he was staring so intently at.

'Bye.' She called out after him.

Silence filled the space, the trees rustled with the wind, a cold touch creeped through her body as the wind started to pick up. It rushed through her ears as she sat down on the cold grass. She stared up at the stars, trying to clear her mind, trying to figure out what had just happened, she questioned turning back towards the party, hoping to catch a glimpse of the mysterious guy. She knew he would have disappeared, sucked up by the teenagers, dancing and drinking at the party. She focused on the stars, watching them glimmer and shine, the noise a distant throb like her thoughts, she closed her eyes, picturing a world without lights and only the stars to guide your way. Soon even her imagined stars faded to nothing and the cool wind wrapped her like a blanket as she slept.
