The walk hadn't taken long but as her world passed in a blur, she had no idea where she was. Nick dropped her on the dusty stone ground and walked away. Georgia glanced towards the door, seizing her opportunity. She picked herself up off the floor and ran towards the open door.
'Don't even think about it.' Nick said.
She ignored him and kept running. Nick reached out and grabbed her arm and puller her back, towards him. Georgia cried out in pain, he ignored it and grabbed both her shoulders. Keeping her still.
'Did you not hear me? I said stay here.' Nick spat.
She tried to struggle out of his arms but he only gripped tighter. He finally left go and Georgia stumbled back, her shoulders throbbing with pain. Another bullet of pain shot through her stomach as she went flying across the room, her back crashed into the cracked wall and she fell to the floor, aching with each movement. Nick towered over her and grabbed her neck, lifting her up, her toes barely scrapping the stone floor, she started hitting his hand, trying to get him to let go. Her lungs were running out of air, her breaths were short and black spots started on the edge of her vision. Nick dropped her and she hit the cold floor. Georgia started coughing, trying to get the air back into her lungs. She crawled towards the large wooden dresser, her knees objects each motion and hauled herself up, using it as support. Georgia was determined to get out, even if it killed her as she walked unsteadily towards the door again. Her body aching with each step as a sharp pain ran up her arm. She stumbled and fell forwards, her arm protesting louder as she tried to brace herself.
'I SAID DON'T!' Nick screamed, his eyes swimming to a deep shade of red.
Georgia clutched her arm to her chest and cried softly. Her arm screamed, the pain was unbearable, it was like tiny boiling hot needles were stabbing her arm. She hesitantly looked down, her arm was turning purple and swelling, fast. A flash of regret passed through his eyes, but the hardness came back so fast, she could have sworn she imagined any softness from him. Her tears continued to fall down her face, her arm was in excruciating pain and her body was completely useless against this vampire. Nick sighed, looking down at her.
'I'll get someone to fix that.'
Georgia slowly stood, clutching her arm, moving as far from Nick as she could. He strode out of the room, the lock sliding heavily into place. She whimpered quietly to herself, at this moment, she felt like a caged dog. She called out to Jet 'Help me.' The words faded in her mind, never reaching their destination.
In the upper floors of the stone fortress, Nick walked into his office, annoyed at her responses. She wanted to be here, his Alice always liked this design. He just needed to make her see it. He sat down at his desk, trying to figure out the best way to draw Alice out from this shell she was in.
'You said if I helped you, I'd get Nathan.' Isabella yelled, storming up to him and her face ended inches away, her scar shining in the light through the thin window. 'But I don't see him anywhere.'
'You shall have him as promised.' Nick said, trying to calm her.
She pouted, showing off her puppy dog eyes. He sighed, annoyed at her tactics.
'Nathan and Jet will come looking for her. Jet wants Alice back, so all we have to do is wait for them to come to the rescue and follow them back to find out where he's keeping her.'
Isabella glared at him. 'You better be right. I don't like that bitch, Samantha.' Isabella spat her name. 'Touching MY man.' She turned to storm off.
'Isabella.' Nick called after her. 'Feel like playing a part?'
She looked up at him slyly. 'What did you have planned, brother?' Her grin growing maniac.
Georgia curled herself into the corner. She didn't know how long she had been in that position, she had been too afraid to move. Her tears had long since dried, leaving a constant ache as her focus dulled to the world. The door slowly creaked open.
'Miss?' A voice called.
Georgia stayed hidden in her corner. A young woman stepped inside, closing the door behind her. She carefully stepped further into the room, her shoulder length blonde hair, had loose ringlets that framed her face. Her face was beautiful, with large grey eyes, shining like silver and such delicate lips, marred by the scar running along her left cheek. Another wrapped up her left arm, disappearing under her shirt.
'Miss.' she called again. 'I'm here to help you.'
Georgia brought her knees up to her chest, her legs knocking her arm and a sound, almost like a gasp escaped her lips.
The young woman turned her head, those ringlets twirling with her and looked at Georgia. Sadness pooled in her eyes. She instantly ran over and knelt down.
'Miss, I need you to come with me. We will get you better.' She said with a smile.
She gently grabbed her good arm and helped Georgia off the floor. Georgia cried out, as her broken arm shifted. Georgia didn't have the energy any more, she dragged her feet and hung her head in defeat as she followed the young girl out.
'I'm Beth by the way.' She smiled at Georgia.
'Georgia.'
Through the corner of her eye, Beth nodded her head and they continued out the door into the hallway and whatever lay beyond.
