'Jet kissed me.' The feeling was zooming around Georgia's head, like electricity in the air, the feeling of his soft lips against hers. The way their bodies fit together. She walked down the hallway in a daze, absently touching her lips, hoping to gain the feeling back. Her lips felt different, bruised but touched. She replayed the moment over in her head, trying to reinstate it as fact.

'Still thinking about it, huh?' Aly's voice pierced through her fantasy, shattering it like a rock through glass.

'Huh?' Georgia woke, the fogginess shifting from her mind.

'Be careful.' Aly cheekily smiled walking off.

George ran after her. 'What do you mean?' She said.

'You have been here almost a week and you haven't seen my room yet.' Aly said turning towards Georgia

'Come on Aly, tell me what you meant.' Georgia sighed.

'It's pretty cool, if I say so. I get a perfect view of the bush, although Chad does get the balcony.' Aly continued, ignoring Georgia's pleas.

'I'm sure Chad keeps you company.' Georgia said.

'When he can, but sometimes he is just too damn hot and he has to sleep elsewhere or I can't sleep. Why are boys always so warm?' Aly glanced over at Georgia

'Jet isn't warm.' Georgia whispered. 'He's actually quite cold.'

'Is he?' Aly asked dramtically. 'He must just be unusual.' Aly said with a flick of her wrist. 'This is my room.' Aly pushed open a plain door and strode in.

Georgia followed close behind. 'This is awesome.' Georgia gaped.

Aly's bed sat tucked up in a corner with a mosquito net draped lazily behind the bed head. An old decorated couch sat forgotten in the corner, her walls lined with trophies and posters. Georgia walked over to the bed and fell into it.

'FYI, I haven't changed the sheets in a while.' Aly said a playful smile on her face.

Georgia jumped off the bed. 'Gross. Aly, have you heard of washing your sheets.' She called standing clear of the bed.

Aly just shrugged. 'I'll get round to it eventually.' And sat down on her bed and pulled out a trashy magazine.

'How can you read those?' Georgia asked, sitting down on the abandoned couch.

'I like the articles.' Aly laughed, continuing to flip the pages.

The pages snapping, as each was violently turned, echoed out into the silence of the room. Georgia mulled the words over in her head.

'What did you mean when you said to be careful with Jet? You never gave me an answer.' George asked, pulling on a loose thread on a pale yellow pillow.

'Just that.' Aly shrugged. 'Wait!' Aly paused, a wide smile building on her face. 'You like him, don't you.'

Georgia looked away, a tinge of red creeping up her neck. 'I donno, he's been really nice to me. But I know at school, he is a dick.'

Aly laughed, her blonde hair swaying with her. 'That's school, what do you think of him now?'

'Look at Nathan, he is a really nice and protective guy.' Georgia said.

'Who is madly in love with Samantha.' Aly pointed out. 'Stop avoiding the question.'

Georgia sighed and looked away from Aly, she knew Aly was right. Nate was madly in love with Sam and Sam loved him right back, it was quite obvious, they weren't doing a good job of hiding it. Georgia stood up to leave.
