The classical music floated around Georgia, filling her ears and she could just hear voices behind it, more than she had expected. She leaned against the wooden double doors and hoped Nate hadn't invited everyone he knew. Sam and Aly had told her to wait there and ran off with cheeky smiles. Georgia had swallowed the question in her mind, she knew they wouldn't have told her.

Secrets and surprises were their specialty.

Her fidgeting fingers roamed the intricate carving of the door, as the music sent her off into a sweet, quiet place. It filled her body and she started swaying, enjoying the soft, delicate music.

The music cut off and the voices grew louder without anything to cover them. Then they went silent.

'Ladies and Gentleman, I welcome you here today to honour a very special guest of ours.' The booming voice of Nate rang out. 'I would like to welcome you all to Georgia O'Dona.'

She stood up straight at the mention of her name and turned around to see the doors open up before her. Georgia took a deep calming breath and faked a smile.

'I'm gonna kill you and Aly and Nate. Slowly and painfully.' She shot to Sam, who beamed back a smile.

She started down the ballroom staircase, keeping one hand on the banister and the other holding onto her dress. She tried to recreate the hundreds of Cinderella movies she had seen. Focusing on charm, grace and beauty. Her foot finally touched the marble flooring and she breathed a sigh of relief. Letting go of her dress she continued towards the stage.

The people around her parted as she walked down, her heels clacking against the marble. Georgia noticed the vampires surrounding her.

She was not afraid.

Werewolves splattered in between the vampires.

She was not afraid.

She felt safe and protected. These people had come to see her and share in her joy.

Nate stood at the edge of the stage, his hand outstretched and waiting for Georgia. She walked calmly up the stairs and took Nates hand. The room burst into applause as Georgia stood next to Nate. A picture of the couple they used to be.

Formal introductions began as Nate led Georgia around the room. Her face hurt with the constant smile she had to wear. It ended up being a good thing that she had practised her curtsey. The dance floor cleared as the music built together, couples elegantly wandered into the area. The waltz started and men offered their dancing skills to Georgia. She always gave them a soft smile and declined. She was waiting for Jet. She searched around the room, looking for those blonde locks.

'May I have this dance?' A voice said bowing.

Georgia slowly turned her head to a mess of charcoal black hair.

It almost matched hers.

She paused, her excuse dying in her throat. This boy intrigued her.

He rose, a crisp black and white tuxedo with a bright red cummerbund sitting snuggly on his thin waist. She looked up, the trademark pale skin with big baby blue eyes, staring at her like a piece of art. She took his outstretched hand, mesmerised by him.

Georgia quickly learned that he was a perfect dancer and made up for her being terrible. Each turn brought them closer together. He closed the small space between them and whispered in her ear.

'It is nice to see you again Alice. I have missed you.'

Georgia's stomach rolled, she couldn't escape her. Alice was everywhere, in her mind, her body and in others. She opened her mouth in protest.
