Try to Tame Miss Cold

Chapter 3

Monique's POV

I didn't see this coming. This is a blast! I'm expecting that Papa will put me in the position soon but not as soon as this.

Well, that was one good way to start my day. Nonetheless, I can still remember those blue eyes from my dream kanina and the heck! Bakit kailangang ganun pa yung eksena? Well, yeah, it's not new to me. I'm a Medical practitioner and kukuha nalang ako ng board exam to become a Licensed Doctor. But the dream was surreal. I shook my head, it was just nothing. Just a dream, a bad dream to be exact.

Anyway, it's past 6 in the morning. Kaya naman pala ginising ako ng sobrang aga ni Alex. Sandali nga, makakaganti din ako sa kanya. Mamaya 😏. Nakalimutan ko na, what to wear?

Pumasok ako sa walk in closet ko. It's my first day, doesn't mean engaged ako sa medicine eh wala na akong alam sa business management. Pinag aralan ko na din yung company namin, kasi sabi daw nila Mama and Papa dapat alam na namin kung ano ang dapat gawin para mas lumago pa ito. Maraming tao ang umaasa sa trabaho nila sa kumpanya kaya dapat naming pag igihan. Wisdom of our parents which we admire the most.

Back to my closet, hmmmm. Skirt for today and I reached for my white below the knee pencil cut skirt which has a slit on the back. Black round neck elbow length sleeves blouse. I'll just tuck it in my skirt later. And of course my white coat with pockets on both sides. Shoes, I grabbed one of my Calligaris pointed heels. It's a jet black 3 inch suede shoes and of course my black doctor's bag. Perfection.

6:40am. I still have enough time. Time to take a shower! I released my bun and put myself on my birthday suit. I don't want to soak my self in bath now. Shower is perfect. Who would have thought that Cherry Blossom shower gel suits my day? Haha! Kuskos dito and everywhere and done! I blow dried my hair kasi ayaw ni Mama na basa yung buhok ko before leaving home.

Time for morning rituals! I'll just put on some light make up from my YSL (Yves Saint Laurant) palette. Darn, I really love their make up plus their nude lipstick. I'm a fan. Ya know! Walang kokontra 😏. And so that's it. Gold button ear studs plus black watch and of course my gold necklace with an AMC pendant. Meron ding ganito si Alex pero panglalaking style ang sa kanya. I looked my self in the mirror. Spell PERFECTION.

I grabbed my bag and went downstairs. I saw my parents im their office suits too. Akala ko di sila aalis?

"And the princess have arrived. What took you so long?" My ever loving reklamador twin brother.

"Shut up Alex! Hindi ako prepared dito." I answered him back.

"That's not an excuse Alex. You know the drill when it comes to punctuality and business." He said in a serious tone.

Guilty here. "Fine. I'm sorry. This will be the first and the last time." I assured him.

"Good. Let's go. Dadalhin mo sasakyan mo?" He asked.

"I will." I answered him.

"Wait up. Ma, Pa, akala ko di kayo aalis?" I asked them kasi nga naka office suit din sila.

"Sasamahan namin kayo. Napag usapan na namin ng Mama mo to. We will introduce you to the board and to everyone." Papa said.

"Your Papa and I will be out of the country for vacation and both of you will be the OICs in our behalf." Mama said.

"Wait Ma. Did you just say na kami ni Alex ang hahawak ng kompanya while both of you are away? Seryoso po kayo?" Alex asked out the blue. Woah. This is very soon.

"Why Matthew? Don't you believe in your capabilities? You will guide Monique and for this week we will be there. Next week pa kami aalis. You still have enough time to prepare. One week is a long time." Mama.

"Di naman po sa ganun Ma. Nabigla lang kami." Alex said.

"Bigla. Bigla. Control your emotions when you deal with business. Don't be too empathetic and shocked." Mama.

Now this is the scary side of our parents. Them being authoritative plus the credibility and reliability.

"We can manage Ma." Sinabi ko nalang.

"Right Alex?" I asked Alex.

"Yes Ma, we can manage." Matthew said with firmness and he smiled.

"Now that's my son." Papa said and tapped Alex's shoulder.

"We better get going." Mama told us.

"Sure ka bang di ka sasabay sakin Alex?" Alex asked me.

"Hmmm. Sige sasabay nalang ako." I agreed to him.

We hopped in to his Gray BMW i8. My twin has this serious addiction to cool cars. Baka nga mapangasawa niya pa tong mga sasakyan niya. Psh.
